Great Bike but much smaller than advertised,

This is a great bike. My 11 year old son loves this bike and rides it almost everyday. The bike has a tremendous amount of power. I weigh 190# and it carried me well on an initial test drive. My 11 year old son who has been riding electric bikes for several years does terrific on this bike. He weighs 65 pounds and is 55" tall. The bike seems to be perfect for him based on his size and experience riding. The bike is interesting in that it is extremely powerful but size wise is designed for kids 9-12 years old. The box says 16 and up, which is ridiculous. The bike seems well designed and has a nice suspension system and dual disk breaks. The price is unbelievable for what you get but I would only recommend it for kids 9- 12 who have experience riding other powered bikes. The tires are pneumatic however they are very hard and knobby. They are fine for off road use but a slip out fast on slick pavement. Over all a great bike for experienced 9-12 year olds who have a non paved surface to ride on. We didn't experience any problems mechanically or electrically.

My kids has rode this bike non stop since the day it arrived!!! I had to install the handle bars and front tire, i also checked over all nuts and bolts. This took 10 mins. and then the battery had to charge....(my kid was wanting to ride right then) BUT when he did ride it.....He loved it!!!! I like the fact that there is NO NOISE and the speed tops out at like 22 mph. PERFECT for an 8 yr. old boy!!! All of his friends have now bought them.....500's and the 650 and the 650 is ALOT faster than the 500!!
These bikes are tough and take a beating!!! My kid has dumped it like 4 times and NOTHING has broke yet!!! MY only complaint is the decals!!! they start to peel off from the 1st ride!! Not that big of a deal...I went out and bougt Suzuki stickers and now it looks like a factory ride! The disc brakes are GREAT and stop on a dime!! The tires are wearing down fast since the kids mostly ride on the sidewalks and street! I like the bike and am glad i bought a RAZOR rather that a cheap china replica from Ebay!

Love Razor products!!,

We have bought 5 different types of Razor electric scooters and bikes for our 6 children and they have all held up well. This model was bought for our 11 year old son. It gives him the feel and look of a real dirt bike, without the danger. It has enough speed for him to be able to handle without it being too much. Nice size too. Goes about 15-17 miles per hour and even though it says it runs about 45 minutes straight on a charge, ours runs approx 1 1/2 hours on a charge. Guess that varies with weight. Razor seems to hold up and their customer service is great too! They go out of their way to satisfy the customer.

Better than expected,

Gave the motorcycle to my 6 and 8 year old nephews. The brakes work good but grab the rotors when they shouldn't and so there was a little drag against the brakes that had to be worked out before the bike would go properly. All in all a decent toy for the money. Nothing you would ever use for long trips in the dirt though, but is great to zip around paved roads. Seems to have plenty of power and runs for a long time on a proper charge. I would say it is worth the money without question and I would purchace another one. Dan in San Diego

Perfect For Me,
This review is from: Razor MX650 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike (Sports)
I got this bike for my b-day on august 29. If you think about getting the MX500 it is OK,my neighbor has it and we race and do jumps and stuff but mine does a lot better. It is perfect for me it is great for jumps if you jack up the shock some.It is also great is you want to zip somewhere about a block or so.I would definitely recommend it for a 10-13 year old. I love it and if your looking for something like this I recommend it very much.

This bike is truly a BLAST!! It has great power, durability, and tons of fun. I purchased the 500 for my daughter at Christmas, my Mom loved it so much and grew so jealous of the fun her granddaughter was having racing around our property, I just bought this 650 for my Mom, who's in her 50's. She LOVES it! It's VERY quiet, no HOT parts to burn legs or ankles, it quick and just plain FUN!! The price for these bikes are unreal! THANK YOU to Razor for making such a FUN and inexpensive "TOY" to play on!!!!!

Great Bike!,

We bought this bike for our 12 year old son for his birthday. At first we were a bit concerned that it would be too big and too fast for him since it said the minimum age is 16 - but it is truly perfect for him. It holds a charge for what seems 10 miles and really goes fast. It has more than met our expectations! My son is pretty hard on it - riding it on rough terrain and it has held up wonderfully.
I read all the reviews and felt confident that this was the best bike for the money. We since bought two others for his 8 year old brothers. We looked at the next smaller version but the reviews were so inconsistent that we opted to go with what was a proven success. We can't imagine any child being disappointed with this bike. It's rugged, takes a beating pretty well, goes very fast, and the kids really get their fill riding it before it needs to be re-charged. The decals are the only thing that seem not to hold up as well as the bike itself. A great value!

Great Bike!,

I've purchased all three Razor MX bikes 350, 500 and 650 My son loved/s all of them. They are prone to break downs. My son is a husky boy and created his own dirt bike jumps that may cause some of the damage. My tip is to keep your receipts because RAZOR does have great customer service and will replace parts or you can purchase and replace parts. My son is nine and can handle the 650 and was riding the 350 when he was six years old. You will need to determine if you child is ready since the age requirements are higher. We also have a safe place for him to ride and I recently rode the Razor 650 for the first time and now understand why he loves it. It really is a fun starter bike for any kid who loves adventure. Highly recommend all the the MX bikes as affordable starter/training bikes but keep the receipts.

My 12 year old son saved his money from birthday and Christmas and purchased this himself. I was a bit worried that he might be disappointed. The reviews for the MX500 were mixed and there weren't many reviews for the MX650. I was wrong to worry, he loves it. I will warn you that it is smaller than one might anticipate given the age range. We had gone to the store and looked at the MX500 and I really felt that it was too small. This one is only slightly larger. It is very heavy but easy for him to handle and is the best for the price that we have seen. Easy to assemble and charge.

This was a great purchase for my 9 year old.He got it for Christmas and has used it 3x per week since. The charge holds for longer than I expected and has more than enough power for his size.My husband weighs 230 pounds and it can zip around with him on it without a problem!! It doesnt have enough torque for climbing or going over rough terrain but it is a great starter bike for a 9 year old. Great neighborhood bike. Putting it together was easy even for someone who is not mechanically inclined.I highly recommend this product!
