5.0 out of 5 stars The best giant boar movie ever made
If you have seen pig hunt or chawz and never have seen Razorback, then you are truly missing out on a gem of the 80's. Scary, good SPFX, and a vision of Australia I have never seen before. These people make the guy in Wolf Creek look like Santa Claus. Beautifully directed and crafted, great performances all around, please don't miss this feature in your collection.

1.0 out of 5 stars RATING BASED UPON DISC MANUFACTURE QUALITY, September 3, 2009
I gave this title a one star rating due to the manufacture quality
of the disc(s), not based upon the actual content of the disc(s).
I recently purchased five Warner Archive titles from [...]
Titles purchased were: All The Marbles, Bermuda Depths, Carny,
From Hell It Came and Razorback. On the back cover of each disc it states,
Discs are for use in playback only devices. All five of these discs would
not function correctly. What I mean is that the menu would not come up
on any of them. The screen would just show black with no picture until
I skipped forward to approx 30 to 50 minutes into the film. Then I had
to fast reverse search back to the start of the movie. Upon doing this
the films/discs then played through the films. Quality of the films
themselves I feel is very good. I attempted playback on five different
brands of DVD players with the exact same result. It would seem these M.O.D.
(Manufactured On Demand) titles are either so heavily encrypted with
Macrovision or just so poorly manufactured that playback is very frustrating.
Cover art is extremely lacking in photos and design layout.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, solid B-movie fun., March 17, 2006
Razorback is arguably the greatest film ever made about a giant, wild, smart, killer pig with a taste for human flesh.Arguably.All kidding aside if you like horror movies about monster animals with a cool tongue-in-cheek attitude, but with some truly exciting moments (think Alligator)I believe you will get a kick out of this flick. The movie was obviously made on the cheap, but with talent and imagination much like another incredible Australian indie Mad Max.

One of the best Aussie horror flicks from the 80's. Wish the DVD was factory pressed, but at least it's a quality widescreen edition, and it comes with the original theatrical trailer.

If you like Austrailian made movies, this is good. The story is kind of flakey, but the Outback and the acters make the movie.

1.0 out of 5 stars A REAL STINK-A-ROO, August 4, 2010
This has got to be one of the worst, if not the worst movie I have ever seen up to now in my lifetime.
It is a rip off of "Jaws" using instead of a shark a wild boar in the Australian outback. In one of the scenes you won't be able to stop laughting as the boar eats through the jeep and devours the people inside of it.
With that said I guess if you're drunk or stoned, anything can be enjoyed and you can laugh up this one for real.
If you want a good horror story please don't purchse this move. It's as laughable and rediculous as "Van Helsing". Now you use your own judegement. The last and final warning, this movie will never, never, never be on anyone's list for restoration.

At 1 and a half hours, it's about 20 minutes to long. How many shots of the Autrailian outback do we really need to see? The best thing about the film is the giant pig uh....ok....razorback. In the brief time you see it, it looks fairly impressive. But those times are few and far between. It reminded me of one of those movies of the week. Certainly seen better.

5.0 out of 5 stars HUGE, freight train boar taking out houses! FUN STUFF!, December 26, 2010
This review is from: Razorback (DVD)
I too, grew up watching this fantastic film. I remember finding it at one of the local mom & pop video outlets as a teenager. I remember how close the films photography was to other aussie films favorites such as "Mad Max" and "Road Warrior." Such an under-appreciated gem, five stars in my book! I like to compare it to an "outback Jaws" when I describe it too friends, although they never make it through half the film without asking, "Where's the beast?" The producers were smart to give the viewer just a hint of the monster to avoid being a running joke. The acting is top notch and the storyline is pretty solid as well. I guess it just got lost in the early eighties and never got its due. One of my top ten classic favorites. Aussie chicks are cute too, always been a weakness.

It looks like the states have finally received a proper release on dvd!! I know where my Christmas gift card will go; ) Great flick!
