5.0 out of 5 stars Still the King
From the begining of his career to the end Elvis could entertain better then anyone else. This cd gives a small example of why Elvis will always be the King. Perfect cd for traveling.

2.0 out of 5 stars WHY!? I ask you
What possible reason is there to issue this album? First of all the title is misleading since the first song "That's All Right" was originally issued on Sun Records, not RCA. Second, songs are taken from all periods of Elvis' career and the songs sound out of place together. Third, there are so many well conceived and organized albums of Elvis' that there is no...

5.0 out of 5 stars The King is Still King!, August 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Rca: Best of Elvis Presley (Audio CD)
Before buying this CD, I was exclusively a fan of Elvis' early music. This CD takes you tastefully through all of the King's phases, from rock-a-billy to his movies, Vegas shows and ballads. His early music is his best, but this retrospective demonstrates that the King could always sing.

Second, songs are taken from all periods of Elvis' career and the songs sound out of place together. Third, there are so many well conceived and organized albums of Elvis' that there is no reason for this one to exist. It's just another attempt to squeeze a few more dollars out of the public. Don't waste your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice Elvis set, March 1, 2008
This review is from: Rca: Best of Elvis Presley (Audio CD)
This Elvis set is a limited edition set in a series made to commemorate RCA's 100th year in the music industry. Artists like Tony Martin and Jefferson Airplane were also given collections in the series.

I am a big Elvis fan, and I really enjoy this set. The previous reviewer was accurate, 'That's All Right' is indeed a Sun side and was not released on the RCA label. But it was generous of RCA to put it here.

This is a great, brief career retrospective, but if you're an owner of 'ELV1S' and '2nd To None,' you already own all of these. But, if you're an Elvis collector and/or a huge fan, definitely add this to your collection.

Highly recommended for any Elvis fan. ENJOY!!!
