It will change your life for the better, FOREVER.

The good news is delivered to you right after the introductory chit-chat. You'll be astonished to learn the reason why the traditional methods of solving one's problems don't usually work. Mr. Lefkoe has invented a completely new technique that is free from this lack and is able to reform your thinking in such a way that you stop running into the same problems over and over again.
His main idea is that many problems are caused by destructive beliefs. While traditional methods try to reform your thinking by convincing you that the harmful beliefs are totally untrue and unfounded, Mr. Lefkoe's method doesn't involve challenging the beliefs. Instead, you are to find out how the belief first evolved (usually it was in your childhood). When you have realized how the circumstances you were in produced the belief, you'll understand that the belief evolved because back then, your access to information and your capability of interpreting it were limited. It was quite reasonable for you to draw such conclusions from the circumstances you were in and the information you had. However, there is no reason for you to maintain this belief now. It is only one possible interpretation of the experiences you've had - there are numerous others and you can choose which one you prefer.
At that point you clearly see that this is just what you have missed all those years. You're ready to kiss Mr. Lefkoe's feet and are dying to finally know the details of this life-saver. Then comes the bad news: you can't do it on your own. This technique isn't suitable for self-help and can only be applied by a professional counselor. There's but a handful of them and they are God knows where.
You might feel cheated.

I got acquainted with Morty Lefkoe method not form this book, but using free video samples from Mortys site.
Method is strikingly simple and shockingly effective in eliminating limiting believes. These believes sit in subconscious and prevent you from doing things or just make you feel awful about yourself and life.
E.g. if you have belief "I'm not important" then you can find it difficult to ask your boss for a salary raise or you just feel bad if someone yells at you.
Worst thing about these believes is that you can't see logical explanation why you can't do certain things or why you feel bad in certain situations, because you don't see them consciously, you just feel that something is wrong with you or with world.
So I tried Morty's method and first time in my life I see that I can make my life better without eternal struggle.
Morty's interactive video's are rather expensive and covers only core believes, so I decided to by his book.
But, alas, there was less information in book then I had already found in Internet.
I recommend this method for everyone who is not satisfied with his life, but I think that it is better to try out believe eliminating using interactive videos than book.
Some times to eliminate negative emotions linked with certain situations you need to use Morty's deconditioning method, but it is not described in book.
Everyone interested in Morty's methods can find more information in his blog and website.

Every once in a while I come across a technique that knocks my socks off. Well, this is one of them. The difference is so immediate, strong, and apparent it's like being hit on the head with a stick.

After the very first session (which you can experience for free on the internet on one of Lefkoe's sites), something had changed. I could not think about the belief in the same way. It had gotten all scrambled up and my mind was filled with new meanings, new interpretations, for the events that were previously associated with the belief. It was so profound that I began to laugh.

I've been told that when something starts to make you laugh that this is a good sign, because your mind is no longer filled with just one meaning. Laughter occurs when the mind experiences more than one meaning, something unexpected. That's how jokes work, right? You expect one thing, but then the comedian suddenly takes you into a surprising, unexpected direction and things don't mean the things you thought they would mean, but rather something very different. Well, can you think of a few areas in your life where that would be enjoyable? Maybe some areas in which you're really stuck?

The method is most effective, I think, when you have someone guiding you through it (which is available for free on the net). This book discusses the technique in detail and explains the underpinnings. I think it's a great adjunct to being brought through the technique in an interactive way.

Is this "just NLP"? Well, I can see various aspects of NLP to it. But the question is: does this pattern already exist in NLP training? Will you be brought through it by an NLP text? No.

The reasons why people dismiss things out of hand and the fact that they do it amaze me.

It started with an email from Lynne McTaggart, the author of "The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe" and "The Intention Experiment: Using Your Thoughts to Change Your Life and the World" where she briefly mentioned about Morty and his method of clearing beliefs. I was interested as I always was, regarding any self-help material. I signed up for his news letter and I was sent three videos to clear three limiting beliefs. I watched them and to be frank I was not at all interested to try them. But I was intrigued by his point of view and his mention of linguistics. As I was a former student of NLP, I wanted to study his method. So I ordered his book.

The main contribution to his technique comes from linguistics- language and how it creates personal and shared reality. The "reality" here is "the experience of the world out there". For me this was a profound experience. The language we use is the culmination of our experiences. We experience the world using our past experiences. In order to change that future subjective experience of the world, change the past experiences we already had about it. Very good.

There was an incident that explains the relationship b/n language and experience - When the Europeans first came to America in Ships, the natives were wondering that people were coming out of thin air on sea shores. Because they were not seeing the ships. The concept/experience/language about ships doesn't exist in their lives till then.
