Fun & Helpful,

This book was fun and helpful. If anything, it might get some people to think of what to do with found objects. On the other hand, many of the projects in this book would be rather difficult to do without purchasing anything. This would be a better book for someone who just keeps collecting junk and needs something to do with it. If you do not collect junk then you are probably out of luck with this book.

Okay, so for most things I am pretty open minded and I don't like giving negative reviews but this one is. Some of the things are interesting like the idea of using an old record sleeve for a clock or the nightstand that folds up to become a picture frame. But of the 50 projects here most of the other stuff is just dumb and ugly. There are directions for making a frame from foam packaging. And there are instructions for making a clock from a crushed can and there are several different tables that are just ugly. Like I said there are a few things that are cool, but like someone else said a lot of the stuff is not easily found and other stuff is just trash that I would never want hanging around my house. It's one thing if you want to use objects that you might find at a flea market or antique store, but it's another thing if you are actually using trash to decorate. I would suggest bypassing this for something else that contains instructions for things a little less "trashy" looking and a little more fun.

I love all books that have to do with crafting....this book gave me a lot of great ideas. I may not use what they did in the book, but I can re-create another design using my own materials.

I would like this book better if it used more easy to obtain items to recyle. I just don't have final records and old electrical junction boxes lying around my house.
