Book Description

November 15, 2003
The book describes something that most people think it absolutely impossible. It explains how people can quickly and permanently eliminate the beliefs that are responsible for virtually all of their undesirable behavior and emotions. When the negative beliefs are eliminated, people are able to thrive, not merely survive. The book describes personal, organizational, and societal applications.

I got acquainted with Morty Lefkoe method not form this book, but using free video samples from Mortys site.
Method is strikingly simple and shockingly effective in eliminating limiting believes. These believes sit in subconscious and prevent you from doing things or just make you feel awful about yourself and life.
E.g. if you have belief "I'm not important" then you can find it difficult to ask your boss for a salary raise or you just feel bad if someone yells at you.
Worst thing about these believes is that you can't see logical explanation why you can't do certain things or why you feel bad in certain situations, because you don't see them consciously, you just feel that something is wrong with you or with world.
So I tried Morty's method and first time in my life I see that I can make my life better without eternal struggle.
Morty's interactive video's are rather expensive and covers only core believes, so I decided to by his book.
But, alas, there was less information in book then I had already found in Internet.
I recommend this method for everyone who is not satisfied with his life, but I think that it is better to try out believe eliminating using interactive videos than book.
Some times to eliminate negative emotions linked with certain situations you need to use Morty's deconditioning method, but it is not described in book.
Everyone interested in Morty's methods can find more information in his blog and website.

The method works. June 3, 2011
Every once in a while I come across a technique that knocks my socks off. Well, this is one of them. The difference is so immediate, strong, and apparent it's like being hit on the head with a stick.

After the very first session (which you can experience for free on the internet on one of Lefkoe's sites), something had changed. I could not think about the belief in the same way. It had gotten all scrambled up and my mind was filled with new meanings, new interpretations, for the events that were previously associated with the belief. It was so profound that I began to laugh.

I've been told that when something starts to make you laugh that this is a good sign, because your mind is no longer filled with just one meaning. Laughter occurs when the mind experiences more than one meaning, something unexpected. That's how jokes work, right? You expect one thing, but then the comedian suddenly takes you into a surprising, unexpected direction and things don't mean the things you thought they would mean, but rather something very different. Well, can you think of a few areas in your life where that would be enjoyable? Maybe some areas in which you're really stuck?

The method is most effective, I think, when you have someone guiding you through it (which is available for free on the net). This book discusses the technique in detail and explains the underpinnings. I think it's a great adjunct to being brought through the technique in an interactive way.

Is this "just NLP"? Well, I can see various aspects of NLP to it. But the question is: does this pattern already exist in NLP training? Will you be brought through it by an NLP text? No.

The reasons why people dismiss things out of hand and the fact that they do it amaze me. Discount this technique simply because it is similar to NLP? Has the critic even tried it? What if it works? (It does.) What if it is simple and fairly quick and can help you change your life for the better? (It is and can.) Hmm. Nahhh. It's just the same as NLP (It's not.), so....

This technique is extremely effective. The effects are immediate and readily recognizable. You can experience it for free. So what are you waiting for? Google "Lefkoe method" or "ReCreate Your Life" and check it out. If you like it and want to learn more about it, buy the book.

Before I read this book, I went through four of the belief eliminating processes at Morty's ReCreate Your Life website. I'm a life long "self-help" seeker and I can tell you after more than thirty years of exploring different methods of feeling like I matter, his is the ONLY one that truly offers a way to clear away the dirt and grime of self-disapproval. I did Self-Matters by Dr. Phil, but it left me hanging and of course Dr.Dyer's books which pointed out suggestions, but nothing as exact as the Lefkoe Method. The book is more of a description of what can happen when you actually use his method; he is subtle about his method in the book. The book offers hope and a solution to a world that is in need of this. What I get out of this book is the necessity for changing the paradigms that are keeping the world in a state of hatred and war. As Ghandi said, "I want to be the change I see in the world." Morty is offering a solution that gets to the heart of what keeps us parazlyzed and feeling like we don't matter. Feeling like we matter can express itself exponentially throughout the world and the old paradigms that only people in positions of political and religious power can do anything will melt away.
