Finally! A Hand Held Flosser That Works!, February 22, 2007
This review is from: Reach Access Daily Flosser Family Pack With 14 Refill Heads - 1 Each (Health and Beauty)
I'm no dentist, and I have no desire to play one on TV, but I'd have to say this is the best alternative to manual flossing I've seen, and it even beats the great-concept-but-poorly-design portable "oral irrigators" made by Panasonic and Waterpik.
Extremely easy to use, you just snap a disposable flooser unit (a U-shaped piece of plastic that holds the string) into the head of the handle, and get to work. Unlike some other similar (and slightly cheaper) products, the string does NOT break, even when used in tight areas. The handle is easy to hold and reaches easily back into the molars. There's also a power unit that vibrates slightly, and, as of this writing costs almost the same; however, I have not tried it. (PLEASE GO TO http://www.amazon.com/Reach-Access-Power-Flosser-Colors/dp/B000I24BR8/sr=8-1/qid=1172206099/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-5549519-4589615?ie=UTF8&s=hpc) for a product description and review.
Ask your dentist and see what he or she thinks of it, but I find this device simple but effective because of superior design.

Floss the ones you want to keep!, June 17, 2008
This review is from: Reach Access Daily Flosser Family Pack With 14 Refill Heads - 1 Each (Health and Beauty)
I love the Reach Access flosser, it is the only way to get me to floss.
Why? I have tightly packed teeth and a small mouth opening that's impossible to get my floss-wrapped fingers into. Dentists and hygienists doing work on me will say with joking frustration as they try to get an angle right, "Gee, you have a small mouth! Don't ever let anyone tell you you have a big mouth!" So, I've never flossed in my life.
The Reach Access has changed that. I've been using it for two years, and it's so nice when the hygienist cleans my teeth and my gums don't bleed. YES! And, I've never had the floss in the flosser heads break or shred on me.
It still isn't as easy as brushing my teeth, as my tightly spaced teeth require me to use two hands on the Reach flosser handle to try and get that floss between my teeth. It's a delicate balance between force and not-so-much force as I work the floss between my teeth to that little area by my gums where I have some wiggle room. Still, it takes less than a minute to do the spaces between all of my teeth.
A minute a day is worth it when it comes to keeping my teeth, don't you think?

Reach access flosser got me to finally floss regularly!, July 30, 2007
This review is from: Reach Access Daily Flosser Family Pack With 14 Refill Heads - 1 Each (Health and Beauty)
I've always known I should floss, but dental floss is just too much of a pain! I tried using those dispoable floss-on-picks, but I didn't like how it felt. But the reach access flosser is perfect! It's very comfortable, the dispoable heads work well and are easy to deal with, and the long reach handle makes it feel more like just brushing my teeth. It was good enough to finally get me to regularly floss, and if I lost my reach access flosser, I'm sure I would stop flossing altogether. Great example of a simple technology that just really nailed it!
