I have been unable to find this floss in any stores near my home, so I'm glad Amazon got it back in stock. $23 might seem like a lot to spend on floss all at once, but I'm guessing I'll get at least a good 4-years worth out of the 9 pack.

I have sensitive gums and receding gumline, my dentist tells me. I use to avoid flossing because the thin, waxy "glide" style floss always cut my gums to smithereens. This product, the Gentle Gum Care floss, is more of a round woven "rope" that is much softer than normal floss and has no sharp edges. It also has a little bit of texture, which makes it feel like it cleans my teeth much more thoroughly, in addition to making it easier to grip around my fingers without slipping away. The "Fresh Mint" flavor is refreshing and very similar to mint toothpaste, and it has no waxy aftertaste.

I highly recommend this product for anyone who has avoided flossing in the past due to discomfort or gum bleeding. Even if you're one of the rare people who are comfortable with standard floss, switching to the Gentle Gum Care woven floss will seem like a luxury upgrade!

This is my favorite dental floss. It is very comfortable between my teeth and is not harsh, like plastic or waxed dental floss. I used to buy them at CVS, but they stopped carrying them, so now I go to amazon and buy a box of 9, when I need them. I am very happy with my dental floss.

This is the best floss I've every tried. It is a great price and was delivered quickly.

I must admit I was blessed enough to have good teeth- no cavities, sensitivity, or extra work necessary beyond a routine cleaning. A couple of years back, my dentist gave me this floss with the little "goodbye" packet of floss and a toothbrush after a cleaning. When I first saw it I was horrified- how is this ROPE supposed to fit between my teeth?! However, after a few uses, I found that not only was I able to easily slide the floss between my teeth but also comfortably use this floss without feeling the sharp sting I had previously felt using waxed floss- no more bleeding gums... ever. Plus, the minty floride powder left behind made my teeth feel extra clean and sparkly. Four years later I am still using this floss, but am horrified at how difficult it is to find in stores! I religiously floss my teeth, and even carry an extra roll in my purse for when I'm out and get the urge (or am within 50 yards of corn on the cob). AMAZING product, changed the way I thought about flossing.

Typical dental floss is a single large thread. It was by accident that I tried woven (of many small threads) floss, after I bought a package without realizing it was different. I tried it and found the woven floss had more traction on my fingers (that is, it wasn't as slippery, and it pinched my fingers less), so I found it easier to floss with. It may be the rougher surface of the woven threads does a better job cleaning between the teeth, but that's just my speculation. On the negative side, the woven floss may break and leave threads in your teeth; something that never happens with the normal floss. It's a problem, but you'll develop a sense of when the individual threads are starting to stress, which is your warning to move on to a fresh spot before the whole thing breaks. On the whole, I'd rather use the woven floss. If you're not entirely satisfied with your current floss, you might try a single pack of woven floss and see how it works for you. You may have to look around, because not everybody carries it, and it also costs a bit more. If you like it, this 9-pack from Amazon is a good deal.

the loose weave of the threads made this floss easily broken and therefore leaves tiny fibers in between my teeth. That does the opposite of what a floss should be doing - to clear things in between my teeth!

After using Glide for several years and purchasing it at a good price at Sam's Club, I was reluctant to change floss. However, this woven floss was recommended to me at my last visit to the Ohio State University Dental Clinic. I purchased it first at the local Wal-mart, paying what I thought was way too much. The floss itself was OBVIOUSLY SUPERIOR. This led me to an online search. I was delighted to find that Amazon has such a good deal on a quantity order.

At first I thought this floss was great because it was very comfortable to use. Then I got a piece of floss stuck between my teeth twice and had to go to the dentist to get it removed! After the 2nd time, I stopped using the floss. You never know when it will shred and that's when it gets stuck.

This floss is a woven thread. It is soft, with a good clean mint flavor. It does not CUT: it does a much better job of cleaning than other kinds of floss. When my local drug store stopped carrying it, I almost panicked. Thank God for Amazon.com!

This pack of 9 lasts me about two years.

This product (#9329) is unavailable in all the local stores. Johnson & Johnson admits the product that is readily available (#9330-Flouride) is WAXED even though it is not labeled as such. I think this is FALSE ADVERTISING. AMAZON is the only place I could find this wonderful floss and buying eight is not really an inconvenience. Thank you AMAZON for making it available......
