Sam Storms is the founder of Enjoying God Ministries in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a former pastor and professor, most recently visiting associate professor of theology at Wheaton College. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas. Storms is the author of several books, including Crossway's Chosen for Life and Signs of the Spirit.

This is one of the 20th century's best book about prayer, because Storms is so Biblical about the subject. He shows that the major reason so many Christians have problems with prayer is that they do not really understand the God to Whom they are praying. Storms uses the Bible to describe God, Who is sovereign, all-knowing, all-loving, all-wise, all-powerfull, etc, and points out how, when we see God as He really is, how we pray, and for what we pray, etc, is vastly improved. Every Christian who wants to be a better prayer warrior ought to read this book carefully. It needs to be put back into print!
