4.0 out of 5 stars Great UK Hard-House Style Music, March 17, 2005

This review is from: Reactivate Energize (Audio CD)
This 2 CD set is another favorite of mine, personally i think the Nick Sentience mix is the better one. All the tracks are mixed in with precision...and the CD builds nicely from groovy trance ( like Nick's own track 'Take Me Over' and Paul van Dyk's 'Out There' ) to more hard-edged bangin' tunes ( Nish 'Stand Down' and Nick Sentience 'Take A Ride' ) so it definately takes you on a wonderful hard-house musical journey. My fav track on this CD is the thumping 'Yamamba' by RR Fierce & K-Live..as it has a wicked beat and catchy samples thrown in from an old Wu-Tang Clan CD eg. 'Do U Think Your Wu-Tang Sword Can Defeat Me?' Very cool.
The second CD sees Steve Blake take mixing duties, and his tracks are alot more bangin' and constant with long melodic build ups...not that thats bad, JFK 'Whiplash' has an amazing hypnotic melody..and when the bass kicks in you will dance up a storm! Legend B's timeless classic 'Lost In Love' is another stand-out...the 2001 remix of it pounds along nicely...its all very hi-energy stuff..so if thats you thing this is for you!
