5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational
Shows with the author's example that with discipline and proper food selection you can live a normal life. Very captivating, afforded me a total understanding of my experience with reactive hypoglycemia.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
This book is not worth $10.95 - $4 or $5 maybe... It is a discription of ONE person's experience. The grammar mistakes distracted me.

I was expecting a book, not a pamphlet.

This book is very poorly written, not only in context but also in grammatical errors. The author has sentences that run together and are confusing. I did not gain any knowledge, other than the authors' history. I do not feel this book offers anything substantial to the reader.

I understood that this was a story of one persons journey...but I was dissapointed that it didn't have much info to offer. As a newly diagnosed person I am trying to find things that have/have not worked for others and what things they have dealt with. This book was an easy read and very short but not as informative as I would've liked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Put Down That Doughnut, February 2, 2008
This review is from: Reactive Hypoglycemia: A Personal Journey Into Managing This Condition (Paperback)
This is a great book and packs a lot of info on a little known subject. It delivers what the subtitle offers, a personal journey or voyeuristic look into the world of someone dealing with a condition that may seem foreign to the average person.

I have found a number of articles regarding hypoglycemia on the NET, but these articles are very impersonal usually stating the taboos or do's and don'ts of this condition. These articles are very antiseptic and do not relate an eyewitness account of how someone can suffer on a day to day basis until they find what seems to be a simple cure albeit a painful one in this day and age of the sweeter the better.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who may be feeling like their battery has gone dead and can't figure out why. The author hits the nail on the proverbial head.
