I purchased one book and my boys (three at the time) loved it. I purchased another in the series and then finally the last two. We've got a lot of bible story books my kids had no or little interest in. These are so engaging--the writing, the pictures, the selection of stories. These stories inspire them to pretend and re-tell the stories themselves. They are also easy to use as a lesson--the story, acting it out, doing a craft. I only wish there were more in the series!

PERFECT FOR TODDLERS! This book offers short bible stories in language that is perfect for preschoolers!

I have all 4 of the Read Aloud volumes by Ella K Lindvall. I am absolutely convinced they are the best Bible story books for preschoolers. Both of my children absolutely loved them from around 2 on up. My [...] still listens when I read them to my [...] The pictures are big & simple, & there are just a few words per page. My [...] loves question marks now because he sees one on the "What did you learn?" page! My kids have learned so much about these Bible stories from these books - I can't recommend them highly enough!!

The little ones love this book because the illustrations are engaging and fun, and the stories are not too lengthy. The writers have been able to get the story told without being verbose. My grandkids really enjoy this series.

My co teacher turned me on to these. The former teacher, took her set with her when she left last year. After over a year of searching (yes, some volumes are tricky to find) she found the whole set( Volume 1-4). The pictures: bright, large, simple lines, and age appropriate. Colors and "outfits" era appropriate. Stories: age appropriate, message appropriate. But the best thing is that they go with the christian calendar. For example you will find "The Palm Sunday" story, right before the last supper/Easter stories. Our kids love this series.

My daughter received Vol. 1 and Vol. 4 of this series as a gift. She loves the books and has them memorized! We love the simple wording and how the Bible stories are simplified for young children. They are engaging as well with questions to ask at the end of each story about what the child learned.
My only gripe with these books are that the illustrations are really bad. There are times when the scenes or animals aren't realistic at all and it is hard to tell what they are meant to depict. If these books had good illustrations they would be some of the best we have found.

I teach kindergarten and love giving these books as a gift to my kindergartners. They can read many of the words themselves and I love the fact that they are reading God's Word for the first time by themselves. The stories are well writtten. Accurate yet easy words. I really like volume 1 and 4 the best. I highly recommend this book.

I love this series of books. The illustrations are delightfully simple as is the text, yet each story represents the Bible truths very well. I highly recommend these books to all Christian families with little children!

This is a book that preschoolers love! Intriguing pictures. Short text on each page. Plus, children learning to read find this book approachable with help. Speaking God's truth in an intriguing way to young souls. We frequently give this as a gift to the older sibling of a newborn baby.

This is the second Ella Lindvall Bible Story that I have purchased, and once again, I am very pleased with the simple illustrations, as well as her ability to get to the heart of a matter for a young child. For example, the story with Joseph explains in childlike fashion, the reality of oftentimes not 'being happy' but still having 'God there' with you. It's a beautiful way for my preschooler to see that being 'happy' is not the end goal, but rather, God being WITH her, IS.
