Unique take on an age old battle..., March 11, 2010
This review is from: Read Away Body Fat (Paperback)
"Read Away Body Fat" by Elizabeth Riches presents the masses with an intriguing idea. What is represented is basically a psychological way of losing actual physical weight from the author's personal experience. Do I know for certain this works? Certainly not. Is it another possible avenue for people looking to boost their "I CAN LOSE IT" mentality at the very least? Definitely. The writing style is very repetitive but before you dismiss this as a flaw, Ms. Riches addresses this in her opening. The book uses a suggestive or hypnotic writing format so as to delve into the readers subconscious mind, leaving bits and pieces of knowledge for later along the way....food for thought, if you will. The steps of leaving behind the scale and visualizing your best (and worst) look are both meant to take the micro-managing out of the equation and allow for the focus to be on you and your CONTROL of the matter. Recommended reading for those interested in another possible means of weight loss control, and for the randomly curious bypasser of such a unique concept.
