Why should you read this book? There are so many reasons, but here are the ones I found most compelling.

Chrissie is a professionally educated and credentialized astrologer (Faculty of Astrological Studies, London) who was also educated as a teacher (University of London). So... what this means for you is that you will get someone who knows a lot about astrology, combined with the background of someone who also has the background and training to teach it to you in a very grounded and straightforward way. I like that a lot because I have often found myself confused, reading or hearing about astrology from people who really have studied it more as a hobby from their armchair and haven't really gone much more beyond that. Or their knowledge of astrology is impressive, but they really don't know how to impart that knowledge to a beginner who is interested in learning more about astrology as a field, not necessarily just interested in learning more about their own natal charts.

Second, the book is simple, but not simplistic. It presents a great overview but it also doesn't "dumb down" astrology, nor does it make astrology just seem like a cute little cookbook that you could get out of the vending machine. Astrology is a complex and beautiful divinatory art that could take a lifetime (or several lifetimes) of study.

But a person has to start somewhere. Chrissie's book is a great place to start and then branch out. You will get the whole overview and all the basics you need, then you can "fill in" those areas that you are even more interested in with deeper study.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in astrology. And if the book inspires you to order a natal chart from Chrissie to learn more about yourself as a result, know that Chrissie is a professional astrologer who also happens to have a beautiful English accent and a witty way with words.

I am reading Chrissie Blaze's book, How to Read Your Horoscope in Five Easy Steps, and am finding it fascinating and very easy to follow. I'm so grateful! I especially want to say how much I appreciate Chrissie's free gift of a personal horoscope. Other books have always failed for me, because I was not on the same page as the writer. Chrissie makes it easy and fun. I think I can really learn it this time.

I used to think that astrology was too mysterious and complicated for me to understand. But with Chrissie's new book, a new door to valuable information is open to me! I now have a tool to understand my children better and help them understand themselves!!! Thanks Chrissie!!!
