Early Discussion About Issues Still Holds True,

This review is from: The RFF Reader in Environmental and Resource Management (RFF Press) (Paperback)
I first read this book in 2004, when this book was already five years old and the issues discussed were still developing. After reviewing it again this year (2010), I find that many of the issues the writers, in this collection of essays, still have relevant and irrefutable arguments. For students of environmental research management, there will be times you'll say to yourself, "wow, this book must've been written a while back." But that doesn't negate the fact that both sides of most of the arguments still apply today. If you are looking for a broad presentation of points and counterpoints then you should find this book to be a good read. My main complaint is that Professor Oates really needs to publish an updated version of this book. A lot has happened since 1999, so there are new developments that need to be addressed, as well as a reconciling of old issues.
