People are often judged by the size of the vocabulary that they can use with effectiveness. If you use the right word you can impress, but the wrong word and you look like a dunce. Developing a powerful vocabulary takes basic practice, either by reading challenging books or working through exercises. This book contains some very "simple" exercises in vocabulary building and they were taken from the pages of Reader's Digest. If you have ever tried one of the "Word Power" exercises from an issue, you know how challenging they can be.
The advantage here is that you can go from exercise to exercise, improving your mind and the quality of the words that come out of your mouth or your pen. I enjoyed myself immensely as I learned many new words as I worked through the exercises.
