I was lucky enough to meet Danny Brassell this year. He is full of life and great ideas, and his book is a reflection of that. I have shared this book with many staff members at my school and we all love it. It is a book that I pick up almost weekly to get ideas for my classroom.

Format: Paperback
I thought this was a great book for teachers. It gives lots of ideas of how to make reading more fun and meaningful for students. There are also many ideas about how to get and keep volunteers to make reading groups work! I have seen Danny Brassell speak on several occasions and this book is a great extension of his ideas.

I was lucky enough to take a class with Prof. Brassell, and after 13 weeks of enlightenment as his student, I looked up every and anything he has ever written or put out. I immediately ordered this book and signed up for his book club. Never one to disappoint, Danny offers great advice and strategies for making life-long lovers of reading. As you know, anyone who loves to read, is going to excel in all subjects because knowledge comes from books. If you want a child to excel in Math, teach them to read ... to excel in Art, teach them to read ... etc., etc. This is why I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to enhance the life of a child.
