Outstaning literature studies text.,
By Sally Murphy (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Reading Fictions: Applying Literary Theory to Short Stories (The Ncte Chalkface Series) (Paperback)
This is an excellent resource for teachers and students of English studies. Reading Fictions explores a range of outstanding short stories from around the world, and guides students towards an understanding of how readers create meaning for the texts they read. Like all of Chalkface's texts, the focus here is not on giving answers but on helping students see that literature is about more than 'figuring out' what a writer wants us to think or feel.
