The Best I've Found, June 13, 2011
This review is from: Reading Journal: For Book Lovers (Diary)
I love journals like this and have looked at bunches of them. I own "Book Lust" as well, which is a nice reading journal, but I think that this one is superior to all of the others I've seen. As there is not, at this time, a "Look Inside" option for this book, I shall outline what you can expect from it. (You're welcome. ;) )
Most pages include spaces to record the following:
Title, Author, Date Published, Category (Fiction, Non-Fiction, etc.), Date Started, Date Finished, Rating (0-5 Stars), "Inspired me to learn about these subjects", all followed by a full page for "Notes".
Some pages have, at the bottom, little quotes from famous authors about reading and books.
Dotted along throughout the journal are places to fill in fun information. These include, but are not strictly limited to:
~A 2-page spread about your "Biblio Style", including favorite authors, favorite books, favorite places to read, favorite genres, etc.
~A page to show, basically, what kind of books are currently on your book shelves.
~A page to fill in authors that have most influenced you.
~"Reading Trees", to track how reading one book influenced you to read another book.
~A page to make your own little award ceremony for books.
~Literary face-offs, where you check who you like the best from lists of authors and literary characters.
~A favorite quotes page.
~Two page spread concerning books being turned into movies.
~Etc, etc.
I really like the expansive list that it offers of "must read" books, and find the "borrowing and lending records" in the back to be quite handy as I always seem to be handing books out to people and then forgetting where they went.
Honestly, after buying this particular reading journal, I can't imagine myself returning to a different design.
Oh, and for the record, there is another journal, I think it's called "Bibliophile", which has the same interior, in case you happen to like the outside of that one better!

Best Reading Journal Ever!, January 4, 2011
This review is from: Reading Journal: For Book Lovers (Diary)
I love this journal! I've bought many journals so that I could keep track of all the books that I've read, and this one is one of the best that I've found.
Most of the pages are for books that you've read and include a place for dates, notes, genre and rating. But every 7-10 pages there are additional fun things to do - like listing your favorite current authors, favorite places to read, favorite genres, reading trees (where you list a book as well as how that book influenced your reading habits), places you want to visit based on books you've read, favorite quotes, etc.

Excellent for bibliophiles!, November 19, 2011
This review is from: Reading Journal: For Book Lovers (Diary)
The Reading Journal: For Book Lovers is absolutely delightful! Not only does it let you rate books with a 5 star scale, but it also lets you record categorical information as well (such as genre). There's space to write what the book got you interested in, what you want to learn more about because of it, and space for miscellaneous notes about the book. Scattered throughout are also pages with little activities like figuring out what your reading profile is like, what books led you to read which other books (like a book trail), and several pages of lists for recommended reading. It's fun and convenient, and I really can't think of anything I would change about it.
