A timely read for these times,

This review is from: Reading Legitimation Crisis in Tehran: Iran and the Future of Liberalism (Paradigm) (Paperback)
Reading this book is like studying for an advanced degree. However, to understand the Middle East, you need to read everything you can get your hands on, even stuff that is above your head. And then read it again until it's not. This book will probably send you off to investigate other concepts, ideas and philosophies - which is good. A very timely read, given the current warmongering administration in this country - read this and arm yourself with knowledge. Understand why we should NOT attack Iran.

Brilliant,
This review is from: Reading Legitimation Crisis in Tehran: Iran and the Future of Liberalism (Paradigm) (Paperback)
This is a brilliant outlook on the dilemma facing self anointed radicals in analyzing foreign policy: do they "meddle" in Iran's affairs or ignore to the point of confirming the very imperialism they seek to destroy. The book provides a guide for liberals to interact with Iran in a productive manner; Postel has crafted a multipart analysis of the challenges facing both radicals, and liberals alike in the realm of foreign affairs.
