This review is from: Reading the Past; The Story of Deciphering Ancient Languages (Hardcover)
Among most books on the topic, this one is written in a very simple language, it gives you the feeling as the writer would lead you in to the deciphering room. After you read this one, you should have the basics, and are ready for the more advanced ones. I won't give it the fifth star since it is intended for beginners, in my view. Thus, no table of characters is present. Nevertheless, it is definitely an excellent work.
