This review is from: Reading Practices With Deaf Learners (Hardcover)
I used this textbook as part of my required college course, and the information is an absolute godsend. These are mainly reading strategies that have been found to help deaf students improve their reading comprehension skills. The strategies cover all spectrums of teaching approaches - bottom-up, top-down, whole language, etc. and are easily fit into your teaching style.I am currently interning in a deaf classroom, and at least once a week I flip through the book for strategies and ideas to try with my students. This is one of the few textbooks that I have kept from my college courses - it is a gold mine of ideas and information. Highly recommended.

The book I believe was said to be clean. However, there were stickers and dirty smudges all over the cover. Inside there was quite a bit of highlighting, that I did not expect. It is readable, but I felt the description I received from the used bookstore was less than accurate.
