In this book, the author presents four aspects of writing's function and nature in relationship to time; Frozen Time, Reading Time, Real Time and Book Time. Rather than a full-blown treatise upon current issues in the book industry, this is a quick yet insightful look at some trends and interesting ideas that are being played out in the present moment, framed within a clever structure that invites the reader to examine their relationship with the written word.

This book reads like the beginning of a great conversation, designed to present some fascinating ideas, show some examples, maybe touch a few things you already know and get you thinking about new ideas. The writing is engaging and the concepts both sophisticated and accessible. Well worth the time and (incredibly low) cost!

A really well though out essay on what the future of publishing is going to look like (or at the very least, a good look at the digital trends that are having an effect on it). Well worth reading if you're interested in the future of books (and digital products in general).

People have been talking about the future of publishing for a long time, but now it's finally here and this essay really covers this transition and new platform from all areas. As someone who spends his entire day working on how we'll read in the future I have to say this essay is right on. Very entertaining and quick read that made me take a step back and re-evaluate my work more than once. I highly recommend it.
