Everything I Expected,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ready 2 Fish Tackle Box (Sports)
For such a low price 3-tray tackle box, I got everything I expected. It has much more room than my single tray tackle box, which I needed since I have acquired more fishing gear recently. I did not count everything included in the set; however, if I had taken the time to count every singly hook, weight, swivel, bobber, jig, lure, etc. I am certain it would have been at least close to the amount advertised. As this is not an expensive tackle box, I did not expect top of the line gear to be included with it. In addition to the above mentioned gear, it came with a couple of other things (stringer and what I believe is a hook remover). The included fishing supplies are not top of the line and do not contain everything needed to go fishing. It would still be necesarry to buy fishing line (as well as a rod and reel, obviously). However, it is a pleasant addition to the gear I already owned and at least would constitute a start for someone who is just starting to build their own 'tackle box.' Overall the tackle box itself is sturdy enough to do the job; although, it is not designed to withstand large amounts of stress. I'm not going to test its ability to handle abuse, but I also don't expect to be replacing it any time soon (as I said, it is sturdy enough to do what it is designed to do). There is a place near the front latch where a lock can be placed; however, this would only act as a deterrent and could be cut around with the proper tools and time.
My one complaint is this: the part of the lid the trays sit on when pulled up from the box is small enough that sometimes the trays miss contact and lose some stability. This has not led to any sort of tip over and I have not had any of my fishing gear thrown out or lost due to this (at least not yet). I'm not sure if it will lead to a tip over; although, given the right circumstances it would probably happen. Enough for me to drop the rating one star on this one, but primarily just something I'm going to have to watch out for when I'm out fishing with my new tackle box that I am otherwise completely satisfied with.

Not quite 132pieces of tackle,

Bought the 2 tray version thinking it comes with some basic tackles, unfortunately it comes with some really small hooks (biggest are prolly size 4), split shots and small brass swivels, maybe good for catching minnows/guppies, the only thing that might be useful are the artificial lures included. Not only that, it doesn't really come with 132 pieces of tackle (I counted), unless they count the plastic bags that they came in as well as the number of pages in the little booklet that comes with it. Guess you should just buy this to expect the box only, as the tackles aren't of much use (except for the artificial lures)

I got this to go in a disaster kit and it's perfect - all the basics and room to add my own extras.

Now then for the professional angler the stuff that comes in this box will probably be laughable. to a begginer (like me) a novice or somone that just goes fishin for fun will find this tackle to be pretty good but first let me explain the box itself!
The 3 tray tackle box is everything you need to keep the essentials and more heres some details. 1 Box sturdy enough to serve its purpose and seems very well put together the latch to open it is also secure and seems sturdy 2 It is large and spacious For some actual idea of how much stuff will fit in here.. (basically the empty space at the bottom of the box + 3 extendable trays with seperated slots. the top tray has 4 slots and 2 side slots that hold racks for your spinnerbaits or buzzbaits (14 slots both sides put together) at the bottom of the normal slots and spinner rack there is a vertical slot which the box comes with little seperating walls you can choose to put in which makes 5 small-med compartments The middle tray yeilds 8 extra long horizontal trays no seperators perfect for big worms or several hard lures of the same type The bottom tray has a slot the size of 3 MED-large slots which I placed a small round organizer with hooks swivels and weights a hook remover a multi tool-plyer some worms( in a bag) and they fit great to the left are some med size slots (5) where I keep my (Unrigged unused) extra soft plastic worms there are some small slots at the bottom of those 5 med sized slots where I keep a large float 1 small fly a 2 swimbaits and a rigged worm (1 for each slot) The bottom of the box would be great to keep all kinds of stuff (such as a flashlight ruler etc) 3 comes with a very comfortable handle (the material is in no way cheap) the handle folds down easily 4 A nice design and comes in 3 colors (depending on size 1-3 trays red 1 tray blue 2 tray dark green 3 tray) 5 Okay now to describe the lures basically it comes with about 90 hooks (which I put 1 bag in that small organizer along with the weights and swivels organized in the box (note it does not come with the organizer that was mine)! 1 small and 1 large float 2 small lures with feathers (look kinda like seahorses) a hook remover 4 jighead hooks 10 small curly tail worms (5 of each color you get I got green and pink) and 2 brown natural color mid sized worms that are not cheap at all infact I'm Taking all this stuff (plus some of the lures I mentioned to have put in the tackle box above) that I allready had and going fishin this weekend! Well I hope this reveiw helps people buy this awesome tackle box (beweare some reveiwers have complained to have received a tackle box with no tackle at all!) this was a steal at 17.50 and free 2 day shipping!!!!

Decent Tackle Box With Essentials (See My Photos),

I got this 3-tray tackle box for my son, who is just getting started in fishing.
I am sure most potential purchasers would wonder just what is included in this 136-piece kit, so I took some pictures and uploaded to the Amazon product page. I do not know why a 2-tray box would cost more than a 3-tray box, although both contain 136 pieces. Does the 2-tray box have better quality tackle pieces? If someone has bought a 2-tray box, please clear up this mystery for us. The tackle box is made of plastic that feels strong enough for its intended purpose and is pretty light. It is not as sturdy and heavy duty as a toolbox. It has 3 levels of trays that spread as you open the box, so you can easily access contents in all trays. The outer wrapping of the tackle box states that the kit includes: "float, swirltail grubs, swirltail worms, jig heads, marabous jigs, spiltshot, hooks, snap swivels, hook disgorger, 6-inch poly stinger, and fishing guide". There are four sizes of bare hooks, which I refer to them as #1 (largest) through #4 (smallest). Please check my photos on the product page. Size, Quantity #1, 2 #2, 23 #3, 30 #4, 40 Adding up the number of hooks yields 95 pieces. There are three kinds of rubber lures: three black long worms, five yellow green worms, and five pink worms. The 1-page fishing guide is very basic. I would suggest getting a book called Fishing for Dummies. Do not forget to check if you need to buy a fishing license in your State. In California, the annual cost of a resident fishing license is about $45. Update: This evening, I saw this tackle box being sold at Sports Authority for sixteen dollars, but it's just the empty box. Therefore the 3-tray box sold at Amazon with the added hoooks, lures, and other things is a pretty good value.

The tackle box itself is great. It's big enough to hold a lot of tackle, and solid enough to last. The tackle that comes with it isn't great or vast, but it is a start. You will definitely want to add fisherman's pliers to the set before you head out to the lake.

Order this item because it is often cheaper than just the empty Plano tackle box. The tackle that comes with it is an OK start, but nothing special.

all and all, it is a good enough solid box. But you still need to buy yourself some additional tackle. The hooks and weights are pretty small and of poor to average quality. But was able to make due with supplies I already had.
