If you don't care about the fact that you'll never be able to remove it again, this product definitely seems to do the job is was made for. However, it is not true that it will not do any damage to your TV shelf/tabletop, as the manufacturers claim. If you decide to use this, you better be committed as to where you'll be putting it, because you'll never be able to move the metal adhesives again (at least not without ripping the finish off any wood piece of furniture). Was a bit disappointed by this aspect, since it seemed like a bit of false advertising.

After spending a fair amount of money for a 60" flat screen, it only makes sense to secure it to the wall. Especially if you live in earthquake country. Last thing you need to see is it ending up on it's face........If your not there to keep it from tipping over. For the price, it's great insurance. I installed these after our last quake. Pretty stupid of me standing there holding the screen from tiping over.

I opted to lag them to the studs in the wall, thus making darn sure it's not going anywhere. All the hardware is included, so use the bolts instead of the adheseive to mount to the wall. Oh and make sure the bolt is in the stud. Use a stud finder or borrow one. Makes it easier. Installing the bolt in drywall is not going to keep your screen in place.

Clean the back of your housing really well with the alcohol swabs supplied or use additional amounts out of the medicine cabinet on a rag and before securing the strap to the back, or your defeating the adhesive by not getting a secure bond. Follow the enclosed instructions and you should have no problems.

We use this as a safety device for our 20 month old twins. We didn't want the flat screen to topple over and crush them, so we purchased this strap. It is strong, sturdy, easy to attach and reliable. Worth every penny!

This Ready America "Quake Hold" product was perfect for our flat screen tv at work. The tv sits on a high movable metal stand which is not very wide. As a result the 42" tv hangs over the sides and was somewhat unstable. Because the stand is movable we could not connect the tv to any wall so we needed some way to fix the back of the tv firmly to the stand. The safety straps that come with this product firmly adhere to the back of the tv and to the stand. The straps have a release which allows the tv to be detached from the stand if necessary. Otherwise the straps are firmly in place and the tv cannot not be knocked over should someone knock into either the tv or the stand.
In other words this product does exactly what we needed and desrves a 5 star rating. The only complaint I have is the product is not available in Canada and the shipping and duty charges were more than the price of the product. However,even at that price the purchase was completely worthwhile.

The strap was easy to install. I decided to cut the excess strap off for cosmetic purposes. Now we'll just have to wait for the "big one" to see if the product does what its supposed to do.

I bought these for the sole purpose of not having my television knocked over by the LO's! These straps are awesome, and very well made!! Made in the USA to boot...can't beat that either!! I was very happy with my purchase, and would definitely buy from again!

I researched all the available products for my Sony DLP HDTV, and this was the best out on the market. When I received it, I could tell immediately that the quality of the product was very good. The cables were thick, the clip-brackets were bigger and more reliable and the plates used to attach to the wall was heavy-duty metal. Even the screws used to hold the plates into the wall were longer for providing greater strength and had a hex head to ensure that it didn't strip when screwing them in.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Also, the extra cable length was not a big problem. You can always buy a velcro strap to hold the extra cable onto the existing cable.

I became really concerned when our 47" 80# flat screen TV started rocking when our 4 yr. old grandchild hit the stand it was sitting on. I Googled this product and figured if it was used in earthquake areas, it should work well for us here in Sedona not known for earthquakes. I'm very pleased. It was easy to install, stablizes the TV very well and can be easily unclipped if you need to move the unit for dusting, etc. We are much more at ease when the 6 & 4 yr. old grandchildren visit us now.

These straps anchor your TV securely to the wall via screw or adhesive. They have a nice buckle feature that allows easy adjustment of the length of the strap for a secure fit with easy install.

I'm using this to secure a my 50' flat screen to the wall. We have a todler who likes to climb. These work great and I would recommend them to anyone.
