Good book for making practical items,

This review is from: Ready, Set, Go! Baby Necessities to Sew (Leisure Arts #5073) (Paperback)
I'm not quite happy with the color choices of big part of the patterns in this book and that can make most people not want to sew them (believe me, colors and fabric patterns can fool you if you don't give the patterns a second or even a third look).
However, they're all simple to make and very practical. In my opinion, if the intention of the author was to offer things you would sew because you would actually USE them that was achieved. The things you would sew are mostly squares or rectangles, some with patchwork details to make them more interesting. I don't give this book 5 stars mostly because of the fabric choices above described.
