Eddie Money ROCKS!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ready Eddie (Audio CD)
Hey folks, do you remember Rock N Roll? Despite the fact that record companies and that video channel have turned their backs on this music genre, a few artists have kept the flame alive over the years -- one of whom is Eddie Money. His brand of straight-ahead RNR, while banished from the spotlight in favor of the trendy Prosac Pop and the Pimple Brigade, has kept true to its core. On this new set, The Money Man, now 50, shows the establishment that he's not slowing with age by successfully and energetically demonstrating for them just what it means to rock -- just as he did on his 1977 debut which flew in the face of disco. I have bought the tape (for my car) and the CD, and it was money well spent. Truthfully, I have already worn out the tape from continuous play. If forced to pick a favorite among so many good songs, I'd have to say "When You Gonna Satisfy Me" -- I just can't play it loud enough.READY EDDIE: Buy it, play it, remember how to rock n roll. If the new millennium brings us anything, I hope it brings a rock renaissance; if this is to be, then this album will be heralded as a forerunner in the new age. (see also Sammy Hagar's latest)

More Money!,

If you loved Eddie Money in the 70s and 80s, you'll love this one. What else is there to say except it is just pure Eddie Money - great rock n roll.

It's Rockin',
By A Customer
This review is from: Ready Eddie (Audio CD)
Eddie really rocked hard on this disc.. Radio and the record company ignored this great release and it is a shame ! This was by far the "best" work Eddie had done in years. Eddie always mixed some filler songs on his records but his huge hits over powered the albums anyway. Ready To Rock is a great powerful track full of hooks and great guitar work by Survivor guitarist Frankie Sullivan and the shakin drumming of Kenny Aronoff! When listening to this cd there is no doubt you will remember the guitar work and the drums.. Don't Say No Tonight should have been a huge hit single when this cd came out. Pure rock with hooks and great vocals etc etc.. This track really is a incredible story and a theme.. ( one of his best written tracks of all time )! It's Gotta Be Love also is one of the best tracks on this disc ! Can't Go On is a true Eddie Money classic ballad that turns into a rockin love story ! Broken Down Chevy is a older Eddie tune that he had performed live for many years, it is a straight ahead story rocker that has great music and eddie's harmonica skills all over it.. ! i give this disc a 5 based on 5 songs that equal any material Eddie has ever written throughout his career.. The other songs are good but the ones i mentioned really are above what Eddie had done in recent recordings. Ready Eddie and Right Here are Eddie's best cds and they are both from the 1990's.
