Not a classic but what better reflection of the era?,

Modern Talking is no ground-breaking revolutionary in pop music, but their catchy, sleek and well orchestrated tunes still make a very nice dance music for us sad thirty-year-olds; it is very nice to play in the car. It also brings nice memories, which is I suppose something that matters a lot. Songs are fairly repetitive, but some are better than others. Of those, the album only has one or two. "Let's Talk About Love" is in fact richer in the tunes that you will remember from the eighties.

This is said to be their biggest album of the 80's for Modern Talking. It isn't one of my favourite album, because I feel that the order of the songs are arranged in a horrible way, as a powerful song might start it up and then two or three boring songs might come before another great energetic song e.g. `Hey You'. `Brother Louie' and `You're My Heart you're My Soul' are THE biggest singles of Modern Talking and they are two massive no.1's as Brother Louie reached no4! In the UK, but `You're My Heart You're My Soul' reached no.56 in the UK but a no.1 in Germany and 9 other countries being a 800'000 platinum single in many places. `Save Me Don't Break Me' and `Only love Can Break My Heart' are songs with a very low profile as they are not in any of the hits collections, they can only be found in this album. So in my view it's not an excellent album but I will give it a full 5star as the MT fans appreciate it so much.

I have been listening to MT since i was very young. They have good voices and their style of music is very unique. This album is by far the best release (i think). The later albums after the come back in '98, '99 & 2000 are good too, but somehow they dont sound as good as the old ones released in the mid 80's.

READY FOR ROMANCE is the best album of MT ever. All 10 tracks are superb. Thomas had incredible crisp voice back then and this album proves it. IF you like MT, buy this. You won't regret this.

My favourite songs are "Brother Louie" (I prefer its long version available on 12"), "Hey You", "Angie's Heart" and "Only Love Can Break My Heart" (my favourite!).P.S. Back in 1980s, their best albums are "In The Garden Of Venus" and "The 1st Album".

Brother Louie. It's like a fantasy. This song is a real classic in the musical history. And the others are like the flowers which complete this beauty.
