i first heard INOJ's vocals from the so-so def allstar bass cds: "love you down" and "time after time" both remakes and both really done on the (what i call it) "southern r&b bass" tip. Her voice is very soft and beautiful ^-^ you can find some of her singles in the u.s. somewhere in a moms an pops shop [ring my bell]."Ready For The World" is out in Asia. I saw it here in Japan and saw this cd in hong kong an other asian countries. i don't know if this cd is popular; but it is very good. i could not find this cd in the states at all (maybe in atlanta)! i don't know why this cd isn't out in the states but they are missing out! 12 tracks of southern r&b bass one pop track and one slow jam track. in japan; there's is bonus track which is another remix of "time after time" ; very well production. i didn't think J.D. produced this album. i don't think anyone can find this cd anywhere cept on mp3 floating on the net. but if anyone is planning a trip to asia anytime soon; this cd should is sold everywhere. best tracks are " all i want" "precious love" "can't wait". if ya can't find this cd; download it ^-^ INOJ is a very talanted lady and i would like to see this cd on the u.s. market.

Not only was Ready For The World not released in the US (I got my copy in the Philippines) but she's disappeared off the music world's radar. Those are two of the worst things that could happen: about 75%, possibly more, of this CD are catchy and extremely likable.

INOJ is one of those singers who made great R&B music of the 90s. Music from the 90s was some of the best of all time and if you are an R&B fan your collection would not be complete without this cd. She had great hits such as her remakes of "Time After Time", "Love You Down", and "Ring My Bell". She also has other great songs on the cd such as "Moving On", "Wait For You", "Falling", and "All I Want". INOJ has such a beautiful voice, and there isn't anyone with a soft angelic voice like hers. The cd is truly amazing. It is extremely rare so get it while you still can. I bought the mp3 version and it's great quality.

I was on the verge of paying $40 for this c.d. until my mother got me some gift certificates so I only ended up paying $12.

I love the girl but I don't know what Lil' Jon and Jermaine were thinking when they did her album. All the beats sound the same. I still like it though. I wish they would re-release this album though. The single is more likely to be found then the album.

If you do come across this cd, get it anyway cause you won't get anywhere else!

Lauper's _Time After Time_ and RFTW's _Love You Down_ are already songs that stick in your head. INOJ's versions are smoother and even catchier. I've looped some songs on the CD all night while working on an assignment, without really getting tired of them.

Other than _Ring My Bell_, the rest of the material is original, and good! _All I Want_, _Need to Feel_, and _Wait for You_ would have been monster hits, if they'd been promoted in the U.S. _Rather Be Alone_ and _I Found You_ are the slowest / weakest.

The percussion is from the post-disco era -- over-obvious synth-drums and handclaps. Like Purple Rain. Joni's voice is very sweet. Those are probably why I like the whole album.

CD is out of print; took 2.5 years on preorder at Amazon to get a used copy at a reasonable price (about what a new CD costs).

I had listened to INOJ's vocals through the last few SO SO Def albums. And she was terrific. The only reason why this album was not recognized in the US was because of the poor marketing strategy. She was widely popular in Asia and Europe. She had sold-out concerts in these areas as a result of the success. Though I rates it **** it was because of the poor success it had, but all in all it was a great album to groove to especially if you're into dance/hip-hop. Enjoy!!!

Where did Inoj go wrong?She had two hit singles "Love U Down" and "Time after Time".Then she released "Ring my Bell" which flopped and anounced she was releasing her debut album.The album never was released in the US.Maybe her record company heard the album a decided it was best not released.I would agree if that was their decision.This album is almost all ballads,Inoj's strong points are her more uptempo tracks(this cd is missing those high points).Do yourself a favor buy the singles wait for the album to hit the bargain bins.

as you all might be wondering, i obtained miss Joni's cd from the internet becauise the production and release of her cd was pushed back like 2 years. and its been sitting on the shelves for so long, well come to find out..someone stole it and bootlegged it onto the internet. which is where i get all my music anyhow.. i havent boughten a cd for like 2 years thanks to this domain.. well if you dont believe me about having her cd, many other musicians will tell you the same. That their own works have been placed on the internet b4 hand of their release sometimes by their record labels to create publicity on their signees. pace!
