5.0 out of 5 stars By Whatever Means Necessary
There is sometimes resistance to innovative ways to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I am an Old School believer myself, but having worked in youth ministries for several years I realize that we have to use alternate means to reach kids. 1.0 out of 5 stars Fake, Wannabe-Ghetto-Cool Bible
Why do publishers feel like they need to FOOL kids and teenagers into thinking the Bible is some Rolling Stone-like magazine with gangster-wannabe catch phrases inserted on every page? When you get to the content, Matthew 1:1 is still Matthew 1:1, regardless of the deceptive phrases on the cover.

There is sometimes resistance to innovative ways to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I am an Old School believer myself, but having worked in youth ministries for several years I realize that we have to use alternate means to reach kids. The "REAL" Biblezine is a wonderful format to do just that. A modern translation of the New Testament text along with articles, music reviews, and so much more pack this magazine style Bible with relavent topics in an unassuming package that creates a product that young people will be more eager to carry with them through their everyday walk. If we truly want to reach our young people for Christ by "any means necessary" then it is easy to see this is a wonderful product, along with the other Biblezine formats, that will reack our kids and young adults.

5.0 out of 5 stars Young Adult who cares, May 21, 2009

I'm a young adult who has purchased this product and i find that it is a very helpful guide. I grew up going to church and my grandfather is a pastor as well and reading from the regular bible has always been a bit struggling for me as well as many children, teens, and yound adults and i found this product to be very helpful. Its hard for young people to really be into religion going the normal traditional route and this guide makes it easier. The cover draws us in and the guide keeps us engrossed. It includes things that young people are into today, and i was far from disappointed with this product. Im grateful to the creator of this New-aged Bible for young people today. We are supposed to be open minded and just because it doesnt have the traditional look of the bible doesnt make it less useful or less holy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Youth Excited About the New Testament, April 14, 2009
This review is from: Real: The Complete New Testament (Biblezines) (Paperback)

I have two young sons and they ABSOLUTELY Love the Biblezine. The format allows them to get excited about reading the Bible. With the Bible looking like a magazine they have no problem carrying it with them and reading it on the bus or wherever they are. With so much happening to young people today, I say if they can learn the word of God in this format then by all means keep it coming. We loved the REAL Biblezine which is the Urban format so much that our church Youth Group uses it as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars sweet., September 17, 2007
This review is from: Real: The Complete New Testament (Biblezines) (Paperback)
Good Modern Man that I am, despite 17 years of Christian education I've never read more than a handful of books of the Bible. But this "biblezine" caught my eye while I was browsing the CS Lewis books. The format appealed to my ADD daemon. Thanks you Biblezine Co, for introducing me to more of the bible than I'd had before.

The wannabe hip language is forced, sure, but if this original format gets even one person to think about, or understand, Christ's message of love, it is validated.

If the choice for kids is coming down to buying NO Bible or buying one that "looks" cool on the outside, then they are not going to be reading this Bible for long. In the meanwhile, we're only advancing the idea that you SHOULD judge a book by its cover.

An edition for teens is one thing, an edition that is flat out deceiving? Terrible, terrible idea. What's next? The swimsuit edition?
