If only I had this book before buying my first piece of real estate, I would have done things much differently. But at least I came across this book now and not 30 years from now. The book is written in plain language and is very easy to understand. After completing your "Due Diligence" the answer to buy or pass on a piece of property is right there infront of you in black and white. [...]There you will find several easy to use spreadsheets on Cash Flows, Renting vs Owning, After Tax Cash Flows (which I found the most useful)etc. The spreadsheets do not lie and allow you to accurately forecast whether or not the property you maybe interested in is actually worth your investment! Thanks to Professor Baron and his team for arming the real estate buyer with the tools to help reduce risk!

This is one of those RE Continuing Ed books you don't throw away but keep and lend out to family and friends who might be coming into the market of buying (or sell). It is very well written, includes very useful information. Worth every penny! Best 18 hrs of CE!

I took Professor Baron's Real Estate Due Diligence 101 seminar and got a copy of this very informative and easy to read book. As a Mortgage Consultant I would advise anyone who is buying a property to read this book! I will recommend it to all my clients! It has great tools to help evaluate the risks and returns in buying any given property. It breaks down chapter by chapter the process of home buying making a very complicated process easy to understand and much less intimidating. It is a must have for first time home buyers and investors that not only want to protect themselves but also want to know if the risk will be worth the return! I personally have done many loans for the author and have seen how he makes very wise choices in his own home buying decisions by simply following his easy rules of due diligence. Please do yourself a favor and read this book before buying a home- buying a home is most likely the largest purchase of your life and you owe it to yourself to be informed about it!
