My almost 3 yo LOVES dogs. While in the store one day he grabbed this off the shelf and there was no way it was not coming home with us. I was not impressed until I realized it was on try me and not the on position. So we switched it on and it was to cute. Both my 2yo and 4 yo love him. The 2 yo walks around with him and tells it "good boy" and shows him stuff and talks to him just like he would a real dog. Yes the stuff inside is hard and he is not a cuddly animal but my kids still snuggle him. All in all it is a great toy.

Bought this for my g'daughter's 4th birthday but sent it back immediately. The machinery that makes the dog roll over is very hard and young kids cannot really cuddle up with this one. The dog isn't very appealing or cute.

Great idea, but it needs work.

We have a female Papillion (dog, 2 years old, 3 1/2 lbs.) in our home. Whenever my 80 year old Daddy comes to visit, they spend all their time together bonding. My Daddy wanted a puppy so much but has difficulty walking without a cane; our "Mattie" waits until "Paw-Paw" sits down then she gets up in his lap. Daddy lives near a busy street with no fence and has to climb up and down stairs to get to his unfenced back yard. This makes it very difficult to have a "real" dog that he would have to walk in all kinds of weather, any time of the day or night. We got "Tumbles" for Daddy this Christmas. It was funny at first, but Daddy lets "Tumbles" sit with him in his recliner and leaves him "on" so many times "Tumbles" will wiggle or whine and Daddy will rub on him and pet him. He is thankful he doesn't have to take "Tumbles" out or feed/water him but he talks to him and pets him. We know it isn't the same as having a real pet, but Daddy likes to leave to visit relatives every now and then and he doesn't have to worry about "Tumbles" at all. When he comes to visit he truly enjoys being with our real "Mattie" and at his home, "Tumbles" does the trick!

My niece just loved this beagle fur real friend. "He" is adorable, and what a wholesome gift - a kid should be a kid! She was turning 8 and so probably on the high side of the age group of fur real friends fans, but she wanted to add to her collection and was delighted with him.

Ok this is one toy that really blew me away. I got it for my 8 month old baby only because it was on sale for $8 in Target...For Eight bucks...I didnt mind that it was only meant for 4 yrs plus.

First and foremost...I dont know if it was a mistake...but my beagle did not come with any instructions which was very sad because it took me 2 days to figure that it had to be opened in its tummy ..hidden underneath the velcro was its battery and on/ off compartment.

It comes in the Try me postion and we HAVE to CHANGE IT to the ONNNN position.

Once I had this ON...this doggy is soooooo life like...I think a 4 yr old might want more ...but my 8 month old laughs everytime it flips and hold its like a real dog and it actually curls up to him...

We almost felt like we have a real dog at home...wish it ran around and barked more too...

but all in all its an awesome toy...almost real...I can wait to get the smores pony or biscuit in the next sale..I saw biscuit for $35 and left it thinking its too big for my boy...

will i pay hundreds of $$ fo these toys...nahhhhh..but on a sale...these toys are worth every penny

This dog is fun for children, teens and adults. I purchased two. One of the dogs is going around my neighborhood to 4 families for their kids to take care of for a week and then continues each and every week to the next family. They will keep it going and love the dog.

As far as I am concerned, this is the cutest toy ever. Tumbles moves and cuddles up so much like a real puppy that other real dogs in the house are in awe of him. The kids love him too. It is also now mid February and he has used up one set of batteries and with replacements, he is still going strong as he was Christmas. Cute as "pie". Buy him.

My granddaughter loves her new puppy. It is a bit noisy, but that doesn't take away from the fun she has with it. The only difficulty is keeping the real puppies away from it!

My brother give Tumbles as a gift to my daughter and she loves it. She plays with it all the time. I think that it is fun for kids, but it doesn't really move. It rolls over onces and that all, but my daughter thinks that it's the best thing since she got her Squarkers.
