Editorial Reviews

From the Inside Flap

She's a Grammy-nominated songtress.
An award-winning television actress.
A budding movie star.
A model.
A role model.
And she's only nineteen.

Here's the remarkable story of Brandy, America's youngest, hottest solo act. From her dreamy days as a Carson, California, schoolgirl who longed to sing like Whitney Houston, to her glory days as a globe-trotting young woman who sang with Whitney Houston, Real-Life Cinderella is the incredible fairytale of Hollywood's most admired, influential teen.

In this loving tribute, fully illustrated with fabulous photographs, you'll get an in-depth portrait of Brandy--both public and private: the girl whose amazing hit single (with Monica) "The Boy Is Mine" set the summer of 1998 to a seductive beat; the beloved star of Moesha; the family that keeps her grounded; the causes that earn her devotion; and the men who catch her eye, including NBA sensation Kobe Bryant, Boyz II Men singer Wanya Morris, R&B star Usher, and rapper Mase.

Brandy is living proof that dreams do come true--and Real-Life Cinderella may just inspire you to go after yours!

Brandy is a better singer than Maria Callas, a better actress that Katherine Hepburn, and a bigger humanitarian than Audrey Hepburn, Princess Diana or Mother Teresa. Her romance with the studly Mase stirred my heart; the part where she talks about McDonalds made me hungry. Brandy is a magical woman, the greatest entertainer of our time. I hear that in Romania, they play her records to terminally ill babies and they are miraculously cured. It's too bad you have to be dead to get your picture on a postage stamp because if anyone deserves it, Miss Brandy Norwood does.
