What a great book! Fr. Albert offers practical advice for couples of every age and stage in their relationship. While his perspective is deeply rooted in traditional Christian values, he does not hit you over the head with it--because of that, along with his matter-of-fact writing style, I think anybody would appreciate his outlook, regardless of religious/non-religious background. He has an uncanny ability to hit the nail on the head when it comes to describing relationship problems, and is incredibly perceptive when it comes to getting past the surface of them and into the root causes. I really found this book helpful.

This book is a treasure for everyone, and the style of the author connects the reader with the challenges, and common complexities lived in a relationship. "Real Love, Real Life" helps to face the problems, and also to strength the bonds between a couple. Father Albert has the gift to inspect the humanity of love in order to offer a complete collection of tips in a delightful, positive, and modern writing.

I have a confession to make. I wanted to write a little review on Albert Cutie's book, Real Life, Real Love: 7 Paths to a Strong and Lasting Relationship, but each time I wanted to refer to it, someone else had borrowed it.

In my family, my father's brother was a priest, and I recall my father questioning the soundness of my uncle's advice on marriage or child rearing with this question: "What does he know about buying shoes for five children?" I can't evaluate the utility of my uncle's advice on these matters, but as a licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist for nearly 35 years, I can say that Father Albert has done an exceptional job of delineating the major relationship issues of our times, and of providing time-honored suggestions on how to approach, build and sustain loving relationships.

The best evidence I can present to make my case is my recent experience: Real Life, Real Love: 7 Paths to a Strong and Lasting Relationship was being passed around among family and friends aged 25 to 75. The suggestions that Father Albert puts forth are reasonable, helpful, and hauntingly similar to the advice I have given across my professional desk for many years. For many readers, especially those who respond to intelligent self-help approaches to relationship issues, this is a good, and helpful resource.

After years (32 to be precise) counseling couples and listening to their pain, I have found a book that is profoung and honest.

Father Albert is practical, realistic and totally connected to his audience. Do not be fooled by the roman collar, this man knows what couples are really dealing with.

Everyone can benefit from this book, you don't have to be married or planning to get married. If you are single it provides great insight towards finding yourself and how you can give the best you have to offer wherever you may be in your life. It also gives down to earth advice on how to find a life long companion, in todays world and how to proceed in a healthy relationship. Good advice makes sense!
Steps on how to get the right person from an article or book, does NOT cater to every individual and doesn't make sense at all!
