A wide variety of men and women relate the strange happenstance and personal experiences that defies explanations of natural law, evoking fear, wonder, and restless curiosity. Highly recommended for readers with a taste for individual tales of ghosts, ethereal spirits, and laments from beyond death, Haunted Encounters is a welcome addition to personal and academic Metaphysical Studies reference collections and reading lists.

Want to "chill out"? This book gave me a real chill out session. And was perfect summer reading. Some of the tales were scary and some were awesome but all were entertaining and believable. I really liked the fact that all were personal experiences from the contributors, and I felt like I knew many of the lives and stories involved. It was a well-written, well-presented book and most interesting. Way to go, Ginnie, and thanks for bringing in such a great collection!

Wonderful stories! I read this book on a long road trip and did time fly-I was completely enthralled. I highly recomend this book. I wish it had been around for my childhood slumber parties!

I purchased a copy of this book and wasn't sorry. It's an entertaining and informative anthology in the vein of the Chicken Soup books; some of the stories may even make you cry. If you like John Edwards' and James Van Praagh's TV shows, you will love the information in this book. I understand there's a second anthology in the works and will be one of the first to add the next one to my collection. Get yours now.

Haunted Encounters entertains the reader from start to finish, which is what any book read in leasure is supposed to do. Having had no personal experience with the world of deceased spirits, I approached, and left, the book with "open-minded skepticism" in the same way as I would a book about flying saucers or the Bermuda Triangle. However, many other sources attest to the veracity of communication with departed spirits. I suppose one of the most famous is found in the Old Testament that describes the incident when Saul, the king of Israel, induced the medium at En Dor to call up the departed spirit of the prophet Samuel. Books about ghosts cut across all cultlures. Bivona's book is one of the best.

No wonder so many folks are interested in the supernatural. This collection of first-person stories, from people around the world, makes fascinating reading. Can't wait for the next in the series.

I'm actually one of the authors in this book (Colorado and Knock Knock). This book is a wonderful collection of stories and I am thrilled to be a part of it. So glad too that all of you have enjoyed it!

Very good read ... easy to read and the stories are well-written and actually somewhat believable ... I find I can go to it and pick a story to read whenever I feel like it ... I would recommend buying.

This book is comprised of many stories in varied settings and situations by authors from all walks of life. In that regard, it is a book that will be interesting and entertaining to many. It becomes quickly obvious, however, from reading the short bios after each tale, that all of the contributors are professional writers. On top of that, in the intro the three editors thank the Editor for "nipping and tucking, tweaking and adjusting each and every word, every comma, every nuance...." and it shows. Unfortunately, for me, it shows in how polished and yes, at times, artificial sounding the stories are. While I really enjoy when a "ghost book" is well written, this one takes it to a new extreme. Having said all this, again, the content is broad, some chapters have more substance than others, and I'm sure that there are many readers who will enjoy this book and disagree completely with my comments!
