Great selection of standards in a small bundle.,

This review is from: The Real Little Ultimate Jazz Fake Book: Bb Edition (Fake Books) (Spiral-bound)
Though it lacks some of the Real books library of Jazz great hits it's also only half the size. It contains a great selection in a small package you can take anywhere. If you wanna just take it out and jam it's probably one of the best because you don't need room for a Real book or a dozen charts. You can do better if you want to lug that Real book around but you can do much, much worse.

The contents have been explained thoroughly in the product description above. This is kind of music I dig and love to play. Small enough to carry to jam sessions and like. The pieces that come up will be found in this book with a good likelihood, and also in the same key. The reason I am not giving 4 stars instead of five are: Summa summarum, recommended for the cats going to jam sessions.

Drew is a great guy. I agree with him. There are over 625 songs in this here book. You should buy it. I like it. A lot.

Songs arranged by Dr Wong,
This review is from: The Real Little Ultimate Jazz Fake Book: Bb Edition (Fake Books) (Spiral-bound)
If you want the correct chords don't buy this book. The melodies are usually accurate. I'll Remember April is presented with chords that were never played by any known musician. But Richard Rogers' songs perhaps suffer the most damage. There are way too many non-jazz songs.
