We couldn't go camping without C.W.!,

I had been looking for any C.W. McCall albums since I'd long ago worn out my Black Bear Road and Wolf Creek Pass 8-tracks. Just happened to be window shopping in Ouray, CO a number of years ago (BTW, Bill Fries was mayor of Ouray a few years back) and saw this album sitting next to the cash register. I didn't need to think twice, and for the last decade we've been listening to all C.W.'s classics especially when we go camping. It just wouldn't be western Colorado at its best without C.W. McCall.
If all you can remember is "Convoy", go ahead and buy this album 'cause you won't regret it. It's not a complete works collection, but it's still great.

Great CD, if only I had found it as MP3 downloads I wouldn't have had to buy this entire CD. I am relatively happy.

C.W. McCall was a fairly popular country music performer in the 1970s. He "spoke" most of his songs, rather than singing them. He is best known for his smash crossover hit, "Convoy". In 1990, he released an album of re-recorded versions of some of his songs, plus one new song (the great "Comin' Back For More"). Unfortuntely, McCall chose to record more of his serious songs than his comedy songs, and I prefer the comedy songs. Still, the material is pretty well performed, and this is one of the few C.W. McCall albums that ever came out on CD.
