5.0 out of 5 stars Heritage and History in the Soul Food Kitchen
"Real Men Cook" started out as a charity cookbook benefitting African-American fathers' organizations in Chicago. There are recipes for barbecue, okra, red velvet cake, rice and beans. But what makes it historic? the forward is by a Senator named Barack Obama. In his brief preface, he encourages fathers to be involved in their children's lives. When Kofi Moyo published...

1.0 out of 5 stars Cook Book
After my wife passed away last year, I felt I needed to learn how to cook. With the title, I thought this might be the book I needed. I was disappointed in that this book covers large meals for 10 to 15 people at a time, whereas I am cooking for one! My fault for buying it - I should have researched further for information on how to cook simple meals for one.

I ended up giving it away to a person who was able to use it.

When Kofi Moyo published this book, little did he know that the forward's author would go forward to the White House. "Real Men Cook" is collectible and historic.

While Obamamaniacs are enjoying his 8 year old restaurant review from "Check Please!" for a soul food place in Chicago, "Real Men Cook" brings soul food into the everyday person's kitchen. Hail to the Chef!
