"Luring Lucy" by Lori Foster

Lucy is the widow of Bram's best friend. Ever since her husband died, Bram has been waiting to make his move - he has loved her ever since he met her. Finding out that Lucy has gone to her lake house with the hopes of acquiring a lover sends Bram over the edge. If anyone is going to be "Luring Lucy" to their bed, it is going to be him!

Talk about a true alpha male! Bram is steadfast and knows exactly what he wants. And he wants Lucy. Joyfully I watched him seduce and claim his woman. He was thorough, that much was more than apparent!

"Cooper's Fall" by Lora Leigh

Ethan Cooper has been watching pretty Sair Fox ever since she moved next door to him. His desire becomes overwhelming when, looking out of his attic window, he sees the prim and innocent Ms. Fox being very naughty. Watching her tease herself is almost more than he can handle. Cooper has definitely fallen!

Ethan Cooper. His name alone is enough to make me swoon. From the top of his head to the tip of his um, yeah. Ethan is sin personified and quite happy to show beautiful Sair exactly how naughty this bad boy can be!

"The Edge of Sin" by Cheyenne McCray

Zane Steele has a dangerous job and is unable to talk about it. Waiting on a contact, Zane finds himself mesmerized by a woman licking an ice cream cone. Fixated on everything about her, Zane can't help himself and has to meet her. The sexual tension between Willow and Zane is instantaneous. Will Zane be able to have a relationship with this enigmatic woman or will, once again, his job put someone he cares about in danger?

Zane knew from the minute he saw Willow that he had to have her. Lucky for him, Willow felt the same way. The sexual attraction each felt for the other was amazingly hot and burned out of control with smoking hot results!

"Wanted: A Real Man" by Heidi Betts

Years ago Claire broke up with her boyfriend in order to pursue her dreams. Now, ten years later, she has to come face to face with the one man she has never been able to forget - Linc. Now a U.S. Marshal, Linc knows trouble when he sees it and if Claire walking back into his life is any indication, things are about to get messy. Finding out he has a daughter unnerves Linc, but he agrees to help Claire find her - and find her he will.

Linc surprised me. I fully intended to be angry with him the way he treated Claire when she needed his help so desperately. However, I ended up being more than attracted to him because of the way he took control of the situation and began helping Claire. The sparks fly between these two, even ten years later, quite nicely I might add.

Real Men Last All Night is an outstanding anthology. Each novella has an entertaining and sexually charged plot. Readers should note that Lori Foster's contribution, "Luring Lucy", is not an original, but a rerelease. That disappointed me, however, not enough that I didn't enjoy rereading Bram and Lucy's story. "Cooper's Fall" by Lora Leigh is my dead on favorite. No one writes erotic love play quite like Ms. Leigh. Cheyenne McCray's contribution, "The Edge of Sin", whetted my appetite for more Lexi Steele novels - Zane is Lexi's brother. Heidi Betts is a new writer on the erotic front. I adore her Silhouette releases and thought "Wanted: A Real Man" was superb. Ms. Betts is quickly making a name for herself and if this novella is any indication of her talent, she should be around a very long time.

For naughty, risqué, alpha, and sizzling hot reads, Real Men Last All Night is a must read!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Read, June 8, 2010

Just the title and the cover me buying the book. What I found in the book really didnt match the front. The stories were really O.K. I thouhgt that because Lora Leigh had written one of Novellas that it was going to be a really hot read.

Cooper's Fall by L.L. strated off really HOT. The very first page you are thinking "My, My I think Im going to finish this book today"
Sarah Fox was kidnapped when she was young and because of this she has been set back sexually. Ethan Cooper is just a bad boy all the way around. He is a Ex- Ranger/ bar owner and he likes his women ready. Sarah has deceided that she isnt going to be scared anymore and the man that she wants is Ethan. Ethan really wants Sarah but he thinks that he really isnt good enough for her and she needs a suit and tie type of guy. When the do come together it is not in the usual style that L.Leigh has her couples come together. It was really nice and touching, but not explosive.

Luring Lucy - Lori Foster

This one was right up Lori Fosters alley. It was a very touching sexy read. Bram has always loved his bestfriends wife Lucy. He always kept it to himself just so he can see her and be with her. He loved her so much that would rather see another man with her than to tell her of his true feelings and risk be rejected. After 20 years of a really bad marriage Lucy's husband dies. Lucys self-esteem is very low since her husband found comfort with other women and left her cold. Lucy has deceided that she is going to find comfort with a stranger in a town far away from home so know one knows. Bram knows whats she up to and deceides that if she wants sex, then sex will be coming from him.

The Edge of Sin _ C. McCray

Instant love/lust at first sight. Girl wants boy, boy wants girl. They are so hot for eachother that the have sex in the restroom of the resturant on their first date. He doesnt want to love anyone beacause he job is very dangerous, but he cant help it.

Wanted: A real man - Heidi Betts

Claire and linc highschool sweethearts in a little town where everyone knows your name. Claire ups and leaves thinking that she is going to make it big in Hollywood. Linc dies a slow emotional death and joins the military then the US Marshalls. Ten years later Claire comes walking back through Lincs door telling him that he has a daughter and she is missing and he needs to help find her. He wants to hate Claire but she was and is everything to him.

They are all a nice romance.

This is a completely well done menagerie of erotic fiction. I absolutly adored all of the stories but I would have to say that Cooper's Fall by Lora Leigh was more of my preference, but I loved the whole book completely.

I have read many anthologies like this but I think this one might just be the best so far. At first I didn't really like the short stories that anthologies contained but, then I realized it was a good way to introduce myself to new authors. Lora Leigh is my favorite authors. I purchased this book because I was looking forward to reading the novella Cooper's Fall.

Cooper's Fall ~ By Lora Leigh ~4 stars
Luring Lucy ~ By Lori Foster ~4 stars
The Edge of Sin ~ By Cheyenne McCray ~3 stars
Wanted: A Real Man ~ Heidi Bettes ~3 stars

3.0 out of 5 stars Authors that republish the same story, June 29, 2009

(REAL NAME)
The story in this anthology from Lori Foster, "Luring Lucy" can be found in another anthology "Hot & Bothered", which i already read. I am very disappointed that they can't put in a new story for Lori Foster. I just think its bad form on the publication company to print out the same story.

Don't get me wrong i really liked Luring Lucy by Lori Foster, but why did they have to put it out in another anthology. If it was out of print(which it's not by the way, because the anthology "Hot & Bothered" is something you can find here on amazon), if readers really wanted that story to come back out, than why didn't the publication company release an anthology of three other Lori Foster stories that were in other anthologies, that way readers would have all of those short stories in one book.

But other than that disappointment, i really liked Cooper's Fall by Lora Leigh, i have read other short stories by Lora as well and i was not disappointed in this one at all.

The Edge of Sin by Cheyenne McCray was my first story i read from the author and i have to say i was not disappointed in that story either, though i did think it should have been longer because i really liked the characters, but oh well. I will definitely read more books of Cheyenne's

The last story Wanted: A Real Man by Heidi Betts, was unfortunately a disappointment for me. I hate reading those stories about the female character having the male character's baby and never even telling him until something bad happens. I wanted to slap Claire in the face, she did not deserve a second chance. Leaving her small town because she wanted to do something better with her life, i can understand for the fact that i, myself have come from a small town as well. But what i did not like was when she found out she was pregnant she didn't go home to the man who loved her deeply, no instead she goes and marries a man she barely knows and does not love and is basically a hostess for 10 years. WOW, she really accomplished something with her life. I thought Claire was weak for leaving the man she loved and weak for not going back when she knew that Linc would have taken great care of her and the baby. There are times in your life, that you have to make sacrifices and that's what Claire should have done for that child. She should have went back to that small town because she loved Linc and he loved her and together they would have raised that child they created. If she truly wanted out of that town, then she should have never been stupid enough to get pregnant in the first place.

If you can get this book used, than i recommend you do that, because it is worth the read with the three stories, just not worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot hot Reading, December 23, 2009

Cooper's Fall by Lora Leigh
Former ranger turned bar owner Ethan Cooper never expected to get an eyeful of prim Miss Sarah Fox from his attic window one hot summer afternoon. But now his blood is on fire for the delicious little minx.

I think this was the best story of the 4. I loved Cooper and him wanting to win over Sarah who is much less experienced. It was hot and touching at the same time.

Luring Lucy by Lori Foster
All Lucy was looking for when she went to her vacation home was in innocent fling to quell the yearning she had felt since her husband died four years ago. She never expected her longtime friend Bram to lure her into a love affair so hot.

This is a very hot read. Bram's been in love with Lucy even while she was married but remained a friend and now that she's ready to explore physical contact he want to be the main contender. Also helps that he owns a gym and is VERY hot and hung. This was a very hot read.

The Edge of Sin by Cheyenne McCray
Zane Steele lives a life of extraordinary danger as a government agent and has never let anyone get too close. Then he sees the one woman who changes his life forever.

Having a spy as your main character is usually a good choice. Personally the plot was weak and uninteresting but I skimmed and got the gist. A good read, and a solid 3rd story.

Wanted: A Real Man by Heidi Betts
Claire left her high school sweetheart Linc, in search of a better life. Ten years later she needs his help as a U.S. Marshal to find her missing daughter...Linc's daughter. Reeling with the knowledge of a daughter he's never known, Linc sets out to claim what's his.

The weakest of the lot. This one reads like a Harlequin romance novel but thankfully much much shorter. I didn't connect with Claire at all and found the whole premise unbelievable. But that's my opinion. If the premise is ok for you, this is a decent story.

Overall the strength of the first 3 stories more than justifies buying this book, enough to rate it 5/5. Highly recommended especially if you like erotic romances.

2.0 out of 5 stars Strong start, weak finish, September 26, 2009
Leigh delivers, fresh story and concept, hot and fun. As other reviewers mentioned, the Foster story was a repeat - always a disappointment for us long time readers. McCray and Betts didn't cut it for me. I read it all, in hope, but I really cannot recommend this set of short stories.
