Many inspirational books aimed at helping moms survive the chaos of the mothering years give fast-food spiritual answers, like a little Bible verse here and there. Jill gets right to the real answer of surviving and even thriving each day of raising a family, and that's to walk with Jesus through a deliberate intake of consecutive Bible reading. That's the strength of this book: encouraging readers to thoughtfully read the book of Matthew to rediscover the Jesus who can help them through the many deep and sometimes baffling issues of parenting. Jill's transparency in believing God for impossibilities (the adoption and blue car stories need to be shouted from the roof top!) add to the book's strength in helping women see Jesus as part of their lives every day. I admire Jill for juggling leadership of "Hearts at Home" whlie also giving her best to her large family.

This book is excellent. It helps you understand more of who Jesus is and how we can all relate to him as a friend. Each chapter provided such a parallel between Jesus' life and mine as a mom. From serving to sacrificing to forgiving to surrendering, Jill highlights how Jesus' life on this earth mirrors so much of what we do everyday. The chapters on prayer and faith, are very inspirational. The story about praying for bread and milk or even a blue car were amazing examples of faith.
I can't wait to get with a group of moms and go deeper with this book as a study. So much more can be taken away from this.

I love this book, it provides humor and encouragement for weary moms. Great gift for other moms too. Read just one chapter at a time, to enjoy it most.

My small group (which consists of 6 moms) REALLY enjoyed this study! I was most impressed because it was not one of those :"book studies" where we never needed to open our Bible--she parallels the study with the book of Matthew. Our group was able to discuss a lot of spiritual issues/struggles. On the flip side, it wasn't such an intense study that the moms felt overwhelmed to get it done each week. Jill offered some thought provoking perspectives as to how Jesus understands the demands of motherhood. It is a great read even if you were not in a group study situation too. HIGHLY recommend this book to someone in the throws of motherhood!

"Real Moms....Real Jesus" is an amazing and inspiring book. Jill Savage gives some great advice to moms. She shows us ways to better take care of ourselves and our family. She also reminds us of how to see Jesus' hand in our daily lives. Some of her stories gave me chills and made me cry (IN A GOOD WAY)!! Every mom should read this book.

I love this book. Jill Savage shows you in this book how Jesus understands what you are going through as a mom. She parallels the things that happened to Jesus in his life here on earth with the things that a mom goes through while she is raising her family. I highly recommend it.

Common sense. solid information. As a mom of 7, it still helps to review, and to make the changes AGAIN, to keep Jesus alive in our lives.

I read this book during a time that I was struggling with deep depression. I felt like God was far away and didn't care about me. As I read the book, God was showing me exactly where He was and how He could relate with what was going on in my life. Jesus truly struggled with some of the very same things I dealt with on a daily basis and this book was a true blessing to me when I needed it most. I contacted the author to thank her for writing such an inspirational book thinking that she would read it and toss it onto the pile of fan mail. Surprisingly, she wrote me back asking me all about myself. This author truly cares about the Moms that she writes these books for. She is a blessing!

This is a book that ALL mom's need!! RMRJ relates normal, everyday situations to what Jesus would do. I recommend it to any mom, and any type of mom (mother, step-mom, foster mom, adoptive, guardian).
