Product Description

Size: 17 to 30 lbs | Color: Pink

The Real Nappies diaper cover has been designed to fit snugly over Real Nappies prefolds but can also be used with other cotton or polyester diapers. Sandwiched layers of PUL (polyurethane laminate) remove moisture and keep your baby drier, and the soft, elastic taping around the legs prevents leaking and blowouts. The Real Nappies diaper cover fastens at the waist with adjustable velcro tabs to accommodate babies up to 18 months of age, and when it's time to wash, simply fold the tabs back to prevent lint build up in the hooks. All Real Nappies diaper covers can be worn several times before needing to be washed, and can be dried in the dryer or hung on the line.

They seem pretty sturdy and have held up well.
Crown of Jewels
I would give it four stars, except that when the cloth diapers get really wet, the cover leaks around the tag on the back.
Brad Creamer
The "crawler size" fits him like a glove even without leg gussets as long as I fasten it snugly.

I don't have the colored covers, just the white ones that come in the various packages, but here's what I posted on the other packages that include this product:

I'll share what I was looking for, so you can better get what you need out of this review. Having used other cloth diapers with all sorts of bells and whistles, I was looking for plain, simple and straight forward. No finnicky wicking material, no special washing instructions, no need to strip, or handle carefully. I wanted the old fashioned, very economically priced, get the job done sort of a diaper. When I read that they were used at maternity wards in New Zealand, I figured I'd probably found what I was looking for, and I have.

I was initially concerned at the lack of leg gussets, but have been pleased and relieved to find that they function perfectly without them. I think perhaps with some of the thinner inserts out there, the leg gussets become more necessary. But, as these are meant to fit firmly against baby, that doesn't pose a problem with these and I have not had leaking issues apart from my occasional lapses by leaving the diaper on too long between changes. You do have to make sure you've got the diaper snugly fastened. I pull up and out towards baby's side with the front of the diaper as I cross the tab over to fasten which nicely snugs down the legs and waist at the same time.

I have had the whole gamut of issues with previous diapers that I have tried, and these are far superior in function, at a fraction of the cost. Add to that a two child use guarantee out of your diapers and you really can't go wrong.

We've used the first two sizes so far.

I used this on my 6lb newborn as soon as her umbilical cord fell off. This was my favorite cover to use with Osocozy prefolds out of the other brands I tried (Rumparooz and Imagine NB covers) because they had the best fit and were the easiest to use. Even without the leg gussets it works great for holding in messy poops!

Update: My baby is now 2.5 weeks and 11lbs and the newborn size won't fit her anymore. Overall these were my favorite covers to use during the newborn stage because they're sturdy, easy to put on, and affordable. I had bought this and 3 different covers, and this one was the only one I liked well enough to order more in each color.

I use this cover with pre-folds tri-folded inside, and have had great success with it. My husband and I were initially concerned that it didn't have the additional gussets at the legs that Thirsties covers do (which make up the majority of our stash), but we didn't have any issues with leaks, even with runny newborn poop. They fit snug on his belly and thighs, and were very adjustable with the aplix closures. They are also extremely sturdy, thick material, and though my baby has since outgrown this size (it only fit until he was about 9 weeks old), there is no question that our next child will get just as much use out of this, as it is still in great shape after multiple washes. I think that the aplix on these covers holds up MUCH better than the aplix on the Thirsties covers.

My only complaint is their lack of colors and designs--they only had 3 colors, red, blue and white.

I like this cover a lot so far. I have the the 3-6 month size in red. The color is vibrant and so far no leaks. I like the tag on the side that tells you the size and weight limitations of the product, so that later on down the road when I sell or give away my stash the next person that receives it won't be trying to guess what size it is. I plan to order more of this in the other colors and sizes.

--UPDATE--

Since this review I have used this cover and more from Real Nappies and I am still impressed. These have held up very well compared to several other covers we have owned. These are slim fitting, inexpensive, and durable which is exactly what we needed. The only other cover that we like more than these are the Thirsties covers and the Bummis Super Brite because of the leg gussets. But the velcro on these is more durable than the Thirsties for sure. The Bummis is probably the more superior cover out of the three but for the price this is still one of my faves.

This diaper cover is great! I use the system on my fourteen week old son and everything stays where it should - inside the diaper. The fabric is super absorbent, and the best thing is that my son can wear it for about four or five changes before needing to put it in the laundry.

I like these diaper covers, the material is softer than most and fits my newborn well (she is now 6 weeks and 10 lbs, and I've been using it since she was around 2 weeks and 8 lbs). I like diaper covers with leg gussets a little more, but these are nice too. We use these with regular chinese prefolds and have rarely had any leaks.

I have twin girls who were born premature. When I brought them home, they were 4.5 and 5.5 pounds, and it was difficult to find cloth diaper covers small enough to fit them. I used the bummis organic cotton prefolds in the premie size, which fit well, and I bought five different diaper covers to try.

1. This was my favorite cover out of the five. It fit well on my five pound baby. It has a simple design that velcros in the front. There are no snaps to adjust the size, so it is considerably slimmer than the rumparoooz covers. The leg openings are snug enough to prevent leaks, but have a soft enough to not cause discomfort. I give it 5 stars.
2. The Rumparoooz cloth diaper cover with Bermuda snaps was a little too big. The fact that it has snaps to let you adjust the size makes it bulky on a small baby. I will be able to use it longer than the type that doesn't adjust, but for now it is not ideal and does not fit under preemie clothes. Once my baby got to be six pounds, it fit pretty well. I would give it four stars, except that when the cloth diapers get really wet, the cover leaks around the tag on the back. I give it 3 stars.
3. The rumparoooz cloth diaper cover in size newborn is very similar to the first one, except it closes with Velcro. Like the first one, it is too big for a five pound baby and bulky under clothes due to the snaps allowing you to adjust the size. It is very well made, and I haven't had any issues with leaks yet, but it does have a similar tag in the back. I give it 3.5 stars.
4. The Pro Wrap diaper cover is another very basic cover that velcros in the front and does not adjust to different sizes. Since it is cheaper than the rest, I was hoping to love it.
