I am looking to change careers into finance and I was hoping this book would help me identify which areas to focus. My expectations were that this book would focus on advance careers and help someone tell the difference between working in a treasury departments and project finance. The page book is 120 pages, not 192. Further, it is written in 12(?) type font, double-spaced with the widest of margins (yes, the same trick we used in college). The idea of the book excited me. I expected so much this book doesn't deliver. Unfortunately, it discusses finance positions only in the broadest sense. In addition, it focuses on entry-level positions or lower level positions. In fact, after only a few pages, I decided the book was useless. I bought another book, which had short 2 to 3-page summaries of jobs. It provided me with more information than this book. I would expect I will not be the only one to send this book back. |
