Since all resumes and cover letters were used by actual people in real job campaigns, each resume and its companion cover letter shown is a picture of a successful job hunt, and the theory behind the book is that a picture is worth a thousand words. Real-Resumes Series editor Anne McKinney has handpicked these resumes and cover letters based on her 20 years of experience in working with teachers. I AM Chris Guin, and I can assure you that I did not provide the "editorial review" listed on this site. I am a former employee of Ms. McKinney, and while I enjoyed my time at PREP and feel that, in general, their resume and career books are of reasonably fair quality, not only do I resent their use of my name on a review that I never wrote, but I have to wonder -- in light of this fraudulent behavior -- how many of the other "reviews" of PREP's titles are equally fraudulent. Doesn't Amazon put ANY effort into verifying the content that is posted on this site?

With a cover letter and resume for every teaching position under the sun this book is a must have. I personally learn from example, and this book is chock full of them. College professors; counselors; elementary, middle, and high school teachers in all grade levels and subject matters; and administrators will all find this book helpful. A variety of formats highlight both the resumes and cover letters. Use the best from the 180+ page reference. MUST HAVE!!!

This book has some great advice in it along with some excellent cover letters. The resumes are very professional in appearance, but the layouts really aren't that interesting. This is definitely an excellent second source to have on your shelf! You should only need two books on resumes (this one and the one I've listed below) to get the job you're looking for.

Let me tell you, I have just read through four resume books specifically aimed at teachers (this book, the one listed below, Resumes and Cover Letters for Teachers, and 101 Grade A Resumes for Teachers). If you want the ultimate book, you should take a look at Expert Resumes For Teachers And Educators (Expert Resumes). Between these two books you should have all your bases covered!
