I have to admit,"Real Slim Shady" get's to you.Its funny, and I'm also sick of the groups M+M raps about. That's all you hear on the radio,BackSteetBoys,N'Sync,Britney Spears,it starts getting boring.I've been hearing this rap song on the radio, and last night on a "Real World" show.I've never bought a rap record, but I have enjoyed some of the...

The "Real Slim Shady" is a musically catchy song. Some of the lyrics are even quite funny. but then there is that language... I'm not sure what possesses an artist to include such explicit words and subject manner. I'm not dissing their constitutional right to, but it escapes me that any artist could actually think I would spend my hard earned money to be...

...Quotes controversial rapper Eminem. I Must admite I hated this song at first but it grew on me. First off I'm sick and tired of people dissin' Eminem. Yeah he may be a lil' twisted inside his head at sometimes (Which he clearly states in the song "Yeah I might have a couple screws up in my head loose...") but Eminem is still a good rapper. He mixes Rap and Pop very well...and though the Explicit Version might not be good for childrean to hear it's funny as hell! He really gives us a glimpse of reality. Yes there very well may be a part of us that just wants to let loose and go crazy. Maybe we won't spit on people's onion rings but hey, ya know?! And he also gives us the truth about tv and music is so centered around sex, but even though these resources are available on a daily basis to children we don't expect them to know it all. He also disses today's manufactured girl and boy groups which I Totally agree with. And about a White rapper, c'mon people: rapping is an Art and can be done by anyone no matter what your race is. It's just another factor of racism in today's society. If Eminem was black there wouldn't be anyone talking. ...--Get this Single! It's halarious and flows together very well! ...

5.0 out of 5 stars GOOD, December 23, 2000

I never really liked rap music. But I like Eminem's style, especially in the Real Slim Shady. Lyrically, it's got profanity and many other things that little kids shouldn't be exposed to. But, I loved this song! Eminem can really get all those lyrics together to make them sound good--into a really good rap. Overall, The Real Slim Shady is ultimately a fun song to listen to. I don't think people should take it too seriously, lyric-wise and all. I actually think Eminem is brave to cross the line and speak the craziest parts of his mind (stuff that may be inacceptable to our society). Anyway, it's pretty good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Eminem's "The real shady", July 17, 2000
This review is from: Real Slim Shady (Audio CD)
I like this song and would recommend it to people who like to finally see someone tell the truth about things because the song "The real shady"is telling the truth about things! He be expressing himself fully not half way and don't care if he hurt you or not!He shows that he has the gut's to say stuff instead of just holding it in like a chicken, but if you want to know why I gave it a 4 it's because somethings are better off unsaid and he doesn't really show that.He just say's it with out thinking and in real life some people won't except that.So I think that it deserved a 4.

The song is a cool song. It states that no one should be exactly like Eminem. It also says children or teenagers can look up to him. This CD is only bad because of its curses but the edited version is very good I have baught one for bothe of my sons and they love it. I would like to thank Eminem foe making a good song for my children.

I found my copy in a FYE store, brand new, and still in the original shrink wrap. I bought this CD for the song Bad Influence.

The Real Slim Shady 10/10

Bad Influence 9/10, would be 10/10 if not edited.

My Fault (Pizza Mix), 10/10, basically the same song only he has the special mushrooms on a slice of pizza.

The "Real Slim Shady" is a musically catchy song. Some of the lyrics are even quite funny. but then there is that language... I'm not sure what possesses an artist to include such explicit words and subject manner. I'm not dissing their constitutional right to, but it escapes me that any artist could actually think I would spend my hard earned money to be degraded auditorily. After all, I wouldn't allow my friends to talk "like that" around me, I certainly wouldn't pay someone to do it. It's actually kind of sad because I think this individual has some real talent and had the potential to make a positive impact on society. But instead, he choked. That's right, he's just another "shady" looking to make the money the easy way. And that just doesn't impress me. In my opinion, this guy has nothing on Will Smith, even though he imagines he does.

I thought that Eminem was just some rapster. However, one night I was listening to the radio and I heard the song, "Real Slim Shady," and I thought it was the best song ever along with my friends. The track is absolutley hilarilous with witty quotes such as, Workin' at Burger King, spittin on your onion rings." The music video as well is absolutley hilarious! This has got to be the best song Eminem has ever made.

Nice beat, awesome beat...moving on. The lyrics are awesome, but the subject matter needs help. I really am a fan of Eminem, but I don't understand WHY he has to diss so many people. What did they do to him (if I knew that, I would give this track a 5)? Nice, fun to listen to, but if you really pay attention to the lyrics, you'll see this in a diffeernt light. You either hate him or love him, I personally love his newer work, but I still don't know why he has to cuss so much (I'm not against cussing, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to write a song that's 50% cussing). PEACE OUT!
