Kathy Ireland's new book, "Real Solutions for Busy Mom's", is a book that I truly wish had been on the shelves as I was raising my two children.
Kathy touches on so many issues that, as a mom, I struggled with on a daily basis. How to be there for everyone in the family, without losing ones self in the mix? How can you instill love, happiness, compassion, and being of service to others? How can you simply balance the day to day fears, and anxieties of trusting the world with your kids, if you don't a solid faith to lean on?

I applaud Kathy for having the courage, as she touches on subjects that most parents would rather sweep under that carpet or pretend doesn't exist, in order to keep our kids safe. When my daughter was 14, she had a friend, who was 13. He was experimenting with something, that I had never even heard of, that he stumbled across on the internet which resulted in his death. Kathy's commitment to exposing the truth will hopefully save another child from having the same fate.


Thank you Kathy for a book that I believe will touch the hearts of every Mom, and Dad who takes the time to read it...

I just finished "Real Solutions for Busy Moms" by Kathy Ireland, and must say it was really good. Former super-model and entrepreneur Kathy Ireland really had some great advice in this book. Some people may not know that Kathy is a Christian, but her witness shines throughout the book, without being preachy. This book supports one of Kathy's favorite sayings: "You can do it all, just not all at once." There is a lot of practical advice and Kathy seems very real throughout.


The book tackles subject such as: money, happiness in the home, healthiness in the home, safety in the home and for the family, taking time for yourself as a mom, and being the best `you' that you can be. Each chapter explores a specific subject, along with a question and answer section, and a checklist for the appropriate subject. I personally particularly enjoyed the Closing Thoughts at the end. It apparently was added after the bulk of the book was finished, and it addresses the current recession we are in. I found it to be insightful and full of wisdom. This would be a great book for any mom, and think it would be an awesome book for a group of mom's to get together and discuss, like for a small group or book club.

After her modeling career, Kathy Ireland focused on her family and building a business. Here she shares some simple ideas for balancing your life. Based on Christian principles she offers up a casual, easy to read book about being the best wife and mom you can.

For the most part, there is nothing new or groundbreaking here. But, as I read, I found myself being reminded of those obvious things we sometimes forget: better ways to manage money, communicating with our children, making our home a place of happiness. I loved her thought of "every home needs happiness".

Kathy talks as if she's your good friend, dispensing advice and offering comfort. Each chapter has sections on real life, with solutions to problems. It's a book that offers hope and help together. It's easily read in one or two sittings and it's a book you could go back to again and again.

Kathy delivers on her promise of Real Solutions in this EZ read. A reference tool that helps families ABCD! Always Be Connecting Dots. A Christian tone that addresses families living lives in a secular world. Internet Predators, STDS, AutoEroticAsphixia-- did not know what it was--kids are strangling themselves by choking during masturbation and dying! Street drugs, Health, safety--finances and Sanity. The core is to help Mom and the men who love her raise a family in this crazy world without losing sight of what's truly important. She get's it..We got it and we're glad we did.

I enjoyed the book it helped with issues at hand and how to make a better life being a busy mom. I liked the financial part since I worry about not making ends meet. The rest was awesome.

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting much from this book. I thought it was the usual celeb book repeating the same old things. Instead I found a book full of wisdom and advice for women. In this book Kathy talks about instances in her own life as she tackles major problems that all families face today from finances to parenting to safety in the home. She also offers real-life solutions to real-life problems. This is a great book, full of some really good honest and practical information and resources that will have you referring to it again and again.

I kept this book in the car and took it with me while I was waiting for my kids to finish their lessons. She gives good sound basic advice and guidance. I really have a lot of respect for her as a mother, business woman and wife.

I wish I could give every young mother in America a copy of this book for Mother's Day. I bought a copy for my daughter, who is a mother of a wonderful 4 year old girl. But I had to read it first. I was amazed at all the practical advice and wisdom packed into its pages. Great tips abound on financial matters, family health, and taking care of yourself.

But more than all the practical details, there is a spirit of wisdom that energizes the entire book. Kathy shares from her heart and her deeply held faith about the things that matter most to keep moms, and dads, balanced and positive. She helps parents see where to draw lines, and how to encourage their children to develop themselves in all the right ways. Kathy is able to simplify things in a way that never distorts or falsifies, but rather enlightens. Every woman I know could benefit from reading this book, and keeping it around for dipping back into during times of trial and challenge. It's a book of encouragement and useful tips. It's like having a wonderful conversation with someone who has learned from all her experiences. Plus it offers some penetrating psychological insight to help readers learn more about themselves, as they seek to live a better future.

I recommend this book wholeheartedly! It is one of the most important gifts you could ever give a young mother! Bravo!

Kathy is AMAZING! She truly motivates,inspires and leads by example. In this book she mentors and inspires and gives life lessons that are truly helpful to me! I love the guidance Kathy gives in relaigning my priorities. Kathy is a blessing. Read her book, as I have and I guarantee she will become your best friend without even meeting her. I am giving this to my daughter too..

Kathy is wonderful! Her book motivates, inspires, & mentors all at the same time. I love her use of Scripture mixed in with her advice and experiences, she puts everything in the correct perspective. After reading this book, it made me re-evaluate what's important in my life. Kathy is truly a blessing, I guarantee after reading this book Kathy will be your best friend without ever meeting her.
