Real Street by Mark Sholtez,

This review is from: Real Street (Audio CD)
Easy listening, story telling songs. This CD provides an historical background to the subsequent CD "The Distance Between Two Truths". The songs are worthy but not as varied and developed as the ones in his latest CD. Mark is a great live performer. He is Australian, and hales from Brisbane in Queensland.
This recording highlights his vocal abilities and piano skills, but I prefer the guitar approach of the latest CD.

This is a great debut album. Saucy orginal music along the vein of Buble and Connick Jnr (if you do have to liken him to some one) but infinately better and heartfelt due to writing his own material.
Can't wait for the next album to see where he goes.

Michael Buble wishes he could make a CD this good,

All songs are originals (except "All I Want Is You" the U2 song) Mark writes them all. If you like Buble you'll love this. Produced by Tommy LiPuma who produces for Diana Krall, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Natalie Cole, Randy Crawford & Anita Baker, it uses top notch personnel.
I love "If You Were A Song", "Love Me For The Cool" and my absolute favourite the album closer "Deeper". Eat your heart out Michael Buble. You may be good but this guy is better.
