Biography

New York-born John Jackson is better known as the rapper Fabolous. He released his debut single as Fabolous Sport, but came to prominence as Fabolous with "Can't Deny It", which helped to promote his debut album Ghetto Fabolous to platinum sales. 4.0 out of 5 stars Bella Rap Real Talk Review, January 29, 2005
This review is from: Real Talk (Audio CD)
On his third album Real Talk, Fabolous has found the perfect mix of street and R&B. This album was executive produced by Clue, Ken "Duro" Ifill, and Skane. The first single, "Breathe" was an instant hit. The follow-up single, "Baby" featuring Mike Shorey is a radio friendly song. Mike Shorey and Fab really make good collabo's and this song is quickly climbing the charts. Mike Shorey also appears on the track "Young & Sexy," a hot song that also features Pharrell. Fab is a loyal artist and continues to work with artists that compliment his skills. Lil Mo appears on the track "Holla At Somebody Real." Lil Mo gave Fab a big break when she put him on her track "Superwoman."

The intro "Exodus" by Black Ice is a track that will make you think, but it will also make you hit skip and head straight to the track "Don't Stop, Won't Stop." This song has a driving beat and awesome production. This is a nice song. Real Talk is a good album, but like past Fab albums, some tracks seem too much like filler, like album tracks that you could live without. One song that stands out and has hit written all over it is "Girls." Reminiscence of Jay Z's "Girls, Girls, Girls," Fab gives a shout out to all kinds of girls from all kind of places. Keep your ears open for "Can You Hear Me," "It's Alright," and "In My Hood," these tracks are hot. Overall, Fabolous' third album is really good. The production is good and Fab, well Fab is just fabulous.

4.0 out of 5 stars Real Talk, Real Better then Street Dreams, November 10, 2004
This review is from: Real Talk (Audio CD)
I have Always been a FaBo fan, Ever since the gangsta track with Nate Do-Double, his rhyme schemes and metaphors where the best coming from any new cat. His first album was a classic, but his second album just didn't grap me, and he fell into the sophmore jinx, or was just following the pattern of the best brooklyn rapper Jay-Z. First album is a classic, second album, too much trying to be mainstream. Third Album, blend the two together and make magic. Real Talk comes straight from the streets for fabolous with the great hip-hop track Breathe, produced by Just Blaze. He of course has some ladies and party tracks, but the best part is how he blends them together to give every track the same vibe. Its Real Talk, so listen up to a dope MC.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a must have!, November 19, 2004

A MUSIC FAN (somewhere u cannot reach) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Real Talk (Audio CD)
Two Great CD's released in the same month. ENCORE by EMINEM and REAL TALK by FABOLOUS! Have to make a tough decision if ur tryin' to save ur money. My Advice: Get Fabolous.
I bought both of them and REAL TALK is much better.

Fabolous came out with a solid solo album GHETTO FABOLOUS which introduced him as a rapper who could rhyme non-stop. Then came STREET DREAMZ, not one of the street albums but a great club banger and party album. Then came REAL TALK!!!! Little of both(Party/Club + Street gangsta rap album)

REAL TALK is a Solid album which is a must have for any rap fan. Songs like BABY, GHETTO, IN MY HOOD, GANGSTA, REAL TALK 123 and BREATHE are classic songs!! INTRO is performed by BLACK ICE. never heard of him but the messege is possitive.
INTRO is not mentioned in the track listing in amazon and I think that the listing is wrong! The one I bought has totally different track listing.

REAL TALK is deffinitely one of the albums thats gonna make ur collection incomplete!!!!!!!
BUY IT!!
