Bella Rap Real Talk Review,
This review is from: Real Talk (Audio CD)
On his third album Real Talk, Fabolous has found the perfect mix of street and R&B. This album was executive produced by Clue, Ken "Duro" Ifill, and Skane. The first single, "Breathe" was an instant hit. The follow-up single, "Baby" featuring Mike Shorey is a radio friendly song. Mike Shorey and Fab really make good collabo's and this song is quickly climbing the charts. Mike Shorey also appears on the track "Young & Sexy," a hot song that also features Pharrell. Fab is a loyal artist and continues to work with artists that compliment his skills. Lil Mo appears on the track "Holla At Somebody Real." Lil Mo gave Fab a big break when she put him on her track "Superwoman."
The intro "Exodus" by Black Ice is a track that will make you think, but it will also make you hit skip and head straight to the track "Don't Stop, Won't Stop." This song has a driving beat and awesome production. This is a nice song. Real Talk is a good album, but like past Fab albums, some tracks seem too much like filler, like album tracks that you could live without. One song that stands out and has hit written all over it is "Girls." Reminiscence of Jay Z's "Girls, Girls, Girls," Fab gives a shout out to all kinds of girls from all kind of places. Keep your ears open for "Can You Hear Me," "It's Alright," and "In My Hood," these tracks are hot. Overall, Fabolous' third album is really good. The production is good and Fab, well Fab is just fabulous.

Real Talk, Real Better then Street Dreams,

I have Always been a FaBo fan, Ever since the gangsta track with Nate Do-Double, his rhyme schemes and metaphors where the best coming from any new cat. His first album was a classic, but his second album just didn't grap me, and he fell into the sophmore jinx, or was just following the pattern of the best brooklyn rapper Jay-Z. First album is a classic, second album, too much trying to be mainstream. Third Album, blend the two together and make magic. Real Talk comes straight from the streets for fabolous with the great hip-hop track Breathe, produced by Just Blaze. He of course has some ladies and party tracks, but the best part is how he blends them together to give every track the same vibe. Its Real Talk, so listen up to a dope MC.

Two Great CD's released in the same month. ENCORE by EMINEM and REAL TALK by FABOLOUS! Have to make a tough decision if ur tryin' to save ur money. My Advice: Get Fabolous.
I bought both of them and REAL TALK is much better. Fabolous came out with a solid solo album GHETTO FABOLOUS which introduced him as a rapper who could rhyme non-stop. Then came STREET DREAMZ, not one of the street albums but a great club banger and party album. Then came REAL TALK!!!! Little of both(Party/Club + Street gangsta rap album) REAL TALK is a Solid album which is a must have for any rap fan. Songs like BABY, GHETTO, IN MY HOOD, GANGSTA, REAL TALK 123 and BREATHE are classic songs!! INTRO is performed by BLACK ICE. never heard of him but the messege is possitive. INTRO is not mentioned in the track listing in amazon and I think that the listing is wrong! The one I bought has totally different track listing. REAL TALK is deffinitely one of the albums thats gonna make ur collection incomplete!!!!!!! BUY IT!!

Look I decided to get this cd because i fell in love with breathe from the first time i heard it, and i didn't own any of his previous records but i love his slick metaphors and word play so i figured i'd cop this one but on the first listen it is pretty dissapointing and i haven't gone back too much to listen to it again because no song really stood out in my head besides breathe. i got into "baby" after seeing the video, but the reason why i'm not dissing it altogether is because i may start to like it later on down the line but the prospects aren't looking too good. sorry fab.

Brooklyn's Fabolous returns for the third album Real Talk, where it's actually album number four if you consider the mix tape as an album. The opener "Exodus" performed by Black Ice describes the industry and what artists go through just to make it in the business. "Don't Stop Won't Stop" speak of how he do with his lifestyle and in his rhymes over a laid back track. With a sporadic organ chords, Fabolous speak of how rappers / emcees need to live their lives as they do in their rhymes in "Real Talk (123)".Spelling it out, Fabolous claims "Gangsta" and what his name would get for you in the streets. "Baby" featuring Mike Shorey is a good mainstream party jam as he makes attempts to make some lady his baby. On the Caribbean type "Girls" as he proclaims himself the King of all types. Fab gets into a sermon with Charlie Murphy on "Church". He speaks of the death of friends and others in stories on "Can You Hear Me" as he begins two of the three verses excerpts from 2pac and The Notorious B.I.G. For a dirtier feeling southern track with deep horns, "Do The Damn Thang" featuring Young Jeezy is a good addition on this LP. As he keeps it commercial for the ladies, he's admitting to what he's looking for on "Holla At Somebody Real" featuring Lil Mo. Back to the club with a dance tune "It's Alright" featuring Sean Paul. "Breathe" is addictive with more street lyrics as he addresses the haters. "In My Hood" goes hard as this could be a good tune for the radio as Nas' "I Can". Real Talk has everything an album should have from the commercial to the streets to the club to reality tales.

Real Talk,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Real Talk (Audio CD)
I hate Seeing these stupid editorial reviews on albums that just disgust me I swear these guys would say "Illmatic was an ok album" Or summin like "Reasonable Doubt was ok jay-z could have came better" I 'm starting to think these guys ask 4th graders on what they think about albums, but newayz back to Real Talk, Fabolous only made club hits and commercial songs on his cd? That is prolly the must unprofessional review statement ever! In the the Song "Real Talk(123)" Fab even explains that "commercial Gangstas/ is played out now" he is not commercial, the only songs/club bangers on the cd is "Young and Sexy"(which is prolly the most chill club song) "Do the damn thing"(with Jeezy Hyping up the song, great for bumping too) And "Tit 4 Tat"(which Fab and Pharrell killed it, with a great beat and lyrics) And Whats this about Fab singing, WTH?!?!?!? He's Not a god damn 50spent, 50cent*, He sang on one Track "In my hood" which was an execllent song discrbing where he grew up, and it paints a picture in your head of his "hood" (no homo), This Rapper is lyrically talented to the full extent, trust me people, I listend to this album thorughly and no b.s it is an execllent buy,Another thing I wanted to address, Sean Paul Sounding like a phone recording, or like he sang over a phone(as said in the editorial review) is total nonsense, S.P sounds pefectly fine, In Conclusion, If U want an album with punchlines, story telling,Club bangers, chill muzik, gangsta muzik, and summin fo tha women or w.e get this album Fabolous=Versitile

Real Talk is the perfect mixture of hip hop and r&b. Fabolous brings the best of him for this one, just as he has done before with the two previous albums. Fab shows that he can put some content in his songs with "Breathe' and "PoPo," and shows a softer side dedicated to the ladies with "Baby" and "Holla At Somebody Real." Easy 5 in my view.

Can't say that I was anticipating this album all that much but truth is when I heard it in my friend's car I was saying that I'm gonna get it. I skipped out on ghetto fabolous so this was a reuniting album for me. As always he's back with some pretty strong lyrical metaphors and beats. I didn't like breathe at first but it caught on to me and I found myself hitting the back button to replay it. "Ghetto," another West-meets-East type of song is good as well although can be found on his mixtapes. "Holla at Somebody Real"...I'm feeling what he's saying but the beat puts me to sleep. "Don't Stop Won't Stop"...cool beat, alright lyrics, the hook might of been a little more thought-out. and "Gangsta" which reminds of something 50 cent and his crew might do on a compilation. I wouldn't say his music is for the clubs. I can't imagine myself getting down to this. Instead, it's one of those pop it in your car stereo, turn the volume up, and cruise. There are tracks I skip over. And unless every track is a banger, I can't give this CD 5 stars. Overall, I think this CD is easy to listen to with good production and lyrics. I'm finding it more in my player than any other new stuff that just came out.
