The first time I saw Ashford & Simpson in concert, I was blown away by Valerie's performance of "I'm Every Woman." I wished she had recorded it herself. Now she has, and it's great! I was disappointed that Nick and Val didn't sing "You're All I Need To Get By" at either show I saw, but now that's recorded, too. I wish they hadn't shortened that beautiful song, but at least it's on the album. A&S have finally recorded some of the best songs they wrote for other people! It's also nice to hear "Solid" the way they do it in concert. I can't say enough good things about this CD. Ashford & Simpson fans will not be disappointed!

Another Classic. Nik never sounded better. The fact that he wrote I'M EVERY WOMAN blows my mind. Song choice excellent. I cant think of anyone on earth who sings better than Val. She has range and depth and funk and reserve and doesnt need the pyrovocaltechniques. If she aint no spring chicken you cant tell on the cd version. I just listened to the cd with justifiably prejudiced ear. Biggest fan since ONE LOOK AT YOU. I think you sing and perform your songs better than anyone. Including Tammy and Marvinand Teddy and Whitney and Chaka . but you cant be everywhere all the time and Berry Gordy got his little bit o moneys' worth outta you as writers. You two are the only guys left i would venture 2HOURS in bumper to bumper traffic to the south side of chicago sit next to a big lesbian ex felon next to a garbage dump and have the best day of my life.I recommend this album to anyone calling a suicide hotline for any reason. or even someone just shut in due to frigid temperatures for ten consecutive winters in chicago. This is the antidote. Thanks for LETS GO GET STONED. Nick sounds like Joe Cocker in mad dogs and englishmen. What a party song. Like to get it on Karaoke for that purpose. FYI-John Mayer did I DONT NEED NO DOCTOR. on his live alburm. Well Im gearing up for the TENTH ROUND here in chicago. and I don't CHERISH or ADORE the thought of another winter. But if Ashford and Simpson come to town, you may find me ON ANY STREET CORNER. and you Can call me FIFI NO NO thats me..buying tickets at ridiculous prices. okay just buy this cd..It all COMES WITH THE PACKAGE. When is the biopic starring Alicia Keys and Maxwell as Nick?

I absolutely love this cd....what a talented couple! They're awesome, I would highly recommend this cd to anyone!! RIP Nick Ashford!! Your music lives on!!

OK...the songs are not new, but who cares if you want to "groove" down memory lane and no longer have the original records! LOL
