About the Author

Everett Wilson has been a minister of the Evangelical Covenant Church since graduation from North Park Theological Seminary in 1962. He is now in his forty-sixth year of continuous pastoral ministry. His conservative estimate is that he has written and delivered about 1800 sermons. During his first decade of ministry he also wrote short stories for Sunday School papers of seven different denominations. His first book, The Touch of God, was published by Covenant Press in 1975. Real Things is his fourth book and first novel. Of the book he says, "I have written the kind of novel I like to read." His articles have also appeared in The Covenant Companion, Christianity Today, Leadership, and The Church Musician, among other magazines. In 1985 he had the privilege of serving as moderator of the centennial annual meeting of his denomination, and from 1991 to 1993 served as president of the Covenant Ministerium, the organization to which all ordained and licensed ministers of the Evangelical Covenant Church belong. He and his wife Donna are the parents of seven adults, and the grandparents of nine children between the ages of five and eighteen.

More About the Author

Everett Wilson has been a minister of the Evangelical Covenant Church since graduation from North Park Theological Seminary in 1962. After forty-six years as a pastor of five Covenant churches, he and Donna retired to their home state of Nebraska, where he is busy with his writing projects, occasional supply preaching, and seeing extended family much more often than they could when in full-time ministry. They are proud of their four daughters, three sons, and ten grandchildren, who range in age from 24 years to pre-school.
Besides managing a busy household, Donna is an active church musician, Among her varied gifts she is also a writer and insightful proofreader. They have been married since 1959.
Everett's avocation has always been writing for publication, He sold his first short story when he was a senior in theological seminary, and for the next thirty-five years his contributions appeared not only in Covenant periodicals but also in Christianity Today, Leadership, The Church Musician, The Journal of Christian Nursing, and others. In 2000 he moved to the Internet as a columnist and contributor to The Partial Observer, a wide-ranging journal of opinion now in its second decade. His novel Real Things was the first Partial Observer Book to appear in print, and is available from Amazon in that format as well as a Kindle edition.
Six of his books are published by Kindle. Three are fiction--two novels and a collection of short stories. The second novel, Scoundrels and Fools, was published in May, 2013.
